Chapter 284 - CHAPTER 284: I AM SO PROUD OF YOU.

"Yes he's right, there should be no more grudges." The old woman also added and smiled softly then turned toward Zach and Mira.

"Baby Zi, is she your wife?" She asked cheerfully and Zach quickly nodded.

"Yeah, Grandma," he replied while Mira stood up and walked toward the old woman as she gestured her to come closer.

By then, Carl had already stood up and walked upstairs, as he had suddenly got a call from his friend.

"Baby Zi, she's so beautiful." The old woman teared up and she instantly wrapped the girl in a hug."Little girl, what's your name?" She softly asked with a sniff while holding her hands and Mira smiled softly.

"My name is Mira," She replied and was about to continue speaking when they suddenly heard a giggle and their heads snapped to the other couch.

Lucy who had been covering her mouth to suppress her giggles finally burst into laughter while her eyes were fixed on Zach.

"Baby Zi." She guffawed while holding her stomach and Mira glanced at Zach whose expression had turned dark and she quickly covered her mouth to suppress her laugh.

"Shit! Little cat__ come back here" Zach stood up with a jerk and ran after the girl who was already running out of the room. He couldn't believe that his grandmother would still remember that name after so many years.

After the two had left, the old woman turned toward Mira with a genuine smile then sighed happily. "Let's go and take a stroll around the garden dear," She said softly and Mira slowly nodded with a soft smile, then stood up with her and they started walking out of the room.

They stopped walking, as sounds of footsteps suddenly came from upstairs and they all glanced up then watched as a girl in her pajamas walked down lazily.

"Ahhh... I can't believe I missed breakfast," Kelly yawned while rubbing her half-closed eyes with one hand covering her mouth. However, it's so good to finally be home after a very long time, maybe that was why she overslept.

"Kelly!? Go back to your room." The old man sighed exasperatedly then stood up from the couch and started walking toward the girl.

"Can't you see that we have guests!? Show some manners, you silly girl." He grabbed her arm and Kelly who now had her eyes wide opened as she stared dazedly at the guests quickly broke out of her shock and wriggled out of the old man's tight grip.

"Argh! Let go__ let go of me," She whined then rushed down the stairs toward the old woman.

Her gaze darted between the middle-aged couple and Mira then she greeted them with an awkward smile.

"Kelly," The old woman held her arm with a sigh, then glanced at her husband who was walking up the stairs. "You have to behave yourself... Your brother is back and the old man had already given you out."

"What!?" Kelly exclaimed with widened eyes and she splayed a hand on her thumping chest. "Argh! That old man!" She sighed helplessly then pursed her lips while making a mental note to try not to bump into her dangerous adopted brother.

By then, Mira had already walked out of the large door with the middle-aged couple and the old woman glanced at Kelly with a pitiful expression. "Just make sure that you don't get on his nerves and behave yourself while the guests are here," She commanded sternly and Kelly nodded hurriedly then turned back and started running up the stairs toward her room.

The old woman watched her back softly and she slowly shook her head with a chuckle, then also walked out of the large door to join the others.

              ** Meanwhile, upstairs**

The slight sobbing of two women, which was coming from a room whose door was not fully shut could be heard in the long empty hallway.

Inside the room, a mother and daughter were tightly hugging each other as their slight sobs turned into whimpers with each moment.

"That was a very brave thing you did dear... I'm so proud of you." The woman slowly patted the girl's back as she sniffed with a small smile amid the tears that kept streaming down her face.

Vivian sighed heavily and also patted her back. "I never expected that he would do those things," She whispered with a sniff while thinking back to that day her father had exposed all of his secrets.

Even though he had commanded her to do some weird things before, she had never doubted him and had thought that he was doing it for her good. However, she also felt betrayed after finding out that he had been using her all along for his selfish reasons.

"Viv... I heard that he was also inside that building before the explosion... How comes he didn't survive it?" Her mother suddenly asked with a small frown and Vivian bit her lips with a sigh then slowly shook her head.

"He was so adamant to save only me... But I couldn't leave Pearl behind." She paused, remembering how he had returned and unlocked that door. Her voice broke down, as that moment played again in front of her. "Even at that moment, he had wanted to kill her... I was lucky that Matt came on time... Th... They got into a fight and he k...killed him."

She started sobbing again as she remembered the shock that overtook her while watching her father being shot at with a gun and the next thing she knew was opening her eyes here in the hospital.

Her sobs intensified and her mother quickly wrapped her arms around her tightly. Even though she had hated the man so much after finding out all the things he did, it still hurts her so much to see him being killed before her eyes.

However, no one could help the situation at that time, as he was so driven by hatred to put an end to the poor girl's life, after killing her parents.
