After reaching the dining area, his grandparents were already there and plates of foods were already spread on the table. with his grandfather sitting on the head chair while his grandmother sat on his right with Vivian sitting beside her.
Walking forward, he sat down on a chair which was on the left side of his grandfather, while facing his grandmother. and they all started eating silently.
Carl who had barely touched his food and was very deep in his thoughts glanced up after a while at Vivian who was eating silently and had her head down.
He stared at her for some seconds then thought back to the girl's mother and he sighed inside, then turned back to his food and continued eating silently.
The rushing sounds of footsteps suddenly start coming from upstairs and once again disrupted the silence in the dining area and everyone glanced up at the girl who was running down the stairs, now freshly bathed and dressed in a new set of clothes.
Without minding the gazes fixed on her and the furious glare the old man was giving her, Kelly quickly pulled out a chair after reaching the dining area then buried her head in the food and started devouring It rapidly.
"Ahhh... I'm so hungry," She muttered incoherently after gulping down a glass of water, then continued eating hastily.
Since last night, her stomach had been empty and she didn't even get to eat breakfast, which made her feel like dying at any moment from the intense hunger.
Seeing that the food on her plate was already finished, she quickly grabbed the plate which was beside hers and continued eating instantly.
"Kelly!?"
"You insolence!."
The old couple exclaimed angrily with dark expressions and Vivian who had also looked up from her food gasped softly while staring at the crazy girl with wide eyes.
Carl whose food was snatched, broke out of his shock with his spoon still hanging mid-air. He carefully dropped the spoon, then picked up a new empty plate after glancing sideways at the girl who was still eating without any care.
"Let me do it..." Vivian quickly stood up and attempted to take the plate from him when the old couple instantly stopped her.
"No, let this nuisance do it."
"Kelly! Stand up and serve our grandson, how can you grab his food."
"Huh?" Kelly who had ignored the couple quickly glanced up from the food, very sure that she hadn't heard them wrong. Her eyes slowly wandered around the table and it landed on the guy who was still holding an empty plate and she gulped nervously.
"S... Sir, B... Boss... I didn't mean to..." She trailed off as her hands started trembling. "Here you can have it back." She pushed the plate of food which was almost empty toward him and quickly shook her head as her eyes widened. "N... No, I'll serve you. Let me serve you..."
She hurriedly snatched the plate with trembling hands and soon after, the dining table became a mess as many plates and utensils started clinking against each other.
"Kelly!?" The old woman sighed exasperatedly and Vivian stood up again with a sigh then grabbed the plate from her and carefully start serving food on the plate. She couldn't believe that Big brother have to call this girl Aunty.
Kelly pursed her lips from the couple's outburst then she sneaked a nervous glance at the guy again before gobbling down the remaining food.
Now that her mission was over, she can't wait to quit working from that company.
"I'm off to the garden," she quickly muttered immediately she was done then stood up with a jerk before hurrying toward the large door as she couldn't wait to get some fresh air.
After the girl left, silence returned and the old couple slowly shook their heads with a sigh while Vivian sat down slowly after placing the plate of food in front of the guy.
She slowly finished the remaining food on her plate after some minutes then glanced up and muttered an excuse of going out to the garden before standing up and walking out of the large door.
The old couple slowly nodded, then returned their attention to their grandson who was now eating again.
"Grandson, I think you should also inform the rest," The old man muttered softly with a sigh and the old woman slowly nodded.
"Yes, baby boy... I heard that she has adopted parents and a sister, they also need to know," She said softly, after placing down her spoon. If worse comes to worst, at least they needed to see the poor girl for the last time.
"Mm." Carl slowly nodded and sighed again. He continued eating his food and after they were all done.
Some servants came inside and started packing the plates and other utensils toward the kitchen.
He stood up after muttering an excuse, then took out his cell phone from his pants pocket and started walking toward the large door, out of the living room.
He strolled through the long corridor that has many stone pillars and small bushes of flowers were lined up in two rows at the ground to where the long corridor ends.
His gaze wandered around the place as he placed the phone on his left ear after dialing a number which was instantly picked up from the other end.
And after speaking to the person on the other end for a few minutes, he finally hung up and put the phone back inside his pants pocket.
Then he continued admiring the vast place and his eyes darted to a very far distance where the waterfall was beautifully flowing down from the mountain and he could notice the two girls sitting on the swing between the various colorful flowers.
His gaze lingered on their backs for some seconds and another sigh escaped his lips before he slowly turned around and started walking back toward the large door while some servants walked past him with their heads lowered as they greeted concurrently.
