His attention turned to his boss as he tried to keep up with his large strides and he sighed inside, wondering if he had even slept last night, as when he woke up this morning, he had still found him staring into his laptop.
Although the collaborations his boss was about to make this time with the foreign business partners is a very big one, City X was so close to City M. However, apart from working himself tirelessly over the past several months, they had always traveled around many countries.
Another sigh escaped his lips and just as they reached the car and he was about to reach forward and open the car's door for his boss as the driver had already taken the suitcase from his hands, his gaze subconsciously darted to a corner and he noticed the girl that was dragging her huge luggage with great difficulty and a slight gasp escaped his lips while his eyes widened slightly.
She was the same person he had noticed last night in the other city's airport and he wondered what she was doing here with wide eyes.
Seeing that his boss had stopped walking and now speaking on his phone, he hurried toward the girl as she struggled with the luggage toward the airport's entrance.
"Kelly, what are you doing here? Aren't you supposed to be in City M and be at work?" He asked anxiously as the girl paused in her footsteps with a gasp.
"Oh." Kelly bit her lips and she chuckled awkwardly while scratching the back of her neck. "I... I..." She trailed off nervously after glancing ahead at her boss whose back was facing them.
David sighed exasperatedly and shook his head at the dumb girl. "Quick, leave this place before the boss sees you__ Argh! Kelly, I can't believe you could dare to slack off from work."
"Oh__ G... Goodbye." The girl quickly nodded then tightened her grip on the luggage, and scurried away, toward the nearby taxi after glancing again at her boss nervously.
David shook his head with another sigh while watching as the taxi drove off. and he wondered if there was actually something wrong with the girl, as he is beginning to find her behavior weird.
Walking back toward his boss, he noticed that he had not finished making the phone call and he heaved a huge sigh of relief, then glanced again at the people whose fawning looks were still fixed on the indifferent man.
He stopped in front of the car and opened the back seat door then watched as his boss hung up the call after some seconds before going inside.
After carefully closing the door, he walked toward the other side, and the driver handed him the car key as he entered the car then started driving out of the airport while his thoughts wandered back to the crazy girl again.
Meanwhile, in the back seat, Carl sighed inside after dropping down his phone as he stared out of the window while his eyes were fixed on the taxi which was driving ahead of his car before it could take another route.
Rubbing his chest slightly, he turned away from the window then took out a small box from the pocket of his jacket. And opening it, he picked up a white pill in his hands before swallowing it.
He closed the box again and after putting it back in his suit jacket, he slowly shut his eyes while resting his head on the seat's headrest as the car drove through the bustling city.

After a few hours, they finally arrived at the hotel where the meeting would take place and also where they would lodge.
The hotel was an enormous one and it is known as the biggest hotel in the whole City X.
It has so many businesses running in it, including bars, different restaurants that serves food of different nations, shopping malls and also recreational centers, and other amenities that are available to the public.
And just like the new hotel in City M, this hotel is also owned by Cha operation however, it's in collaboration with a few foreign companies.
The sun had already come up by the time they reached the hotel and the assistant drove them to the large underground parking lot, where just like the other companies, it also had a private elevator that leads directly to the CEO's private suite, which is on the highest floor of the very tall hotel.
After entering the suit, David placed down the two suitcases and went out of the room, to the next room where he would be lodging at, as the business partners would arrive from their various countries, in just a few hours.
After the assistant left, Carl toured around the suit for some time because when the hotel building was done, two months ago, he hadn't had time to come and investigate it and had left everything to be taken care of by the manager.
Some minutes later, after touring the suit, he strolled toward the large floor to ceiling which overlooked the big City and a huge sigh escaped his lips as he stared down absent-mindedly at the bustling city below.
The atmosphere inside the suit was serene as the lonely figure leaned against the glass window, with one hand inside his pants pocket. He had on a calm expression as his gaze was still fixed outside the window.
He stood like that for a long time without budging from that position as many fragments of memories flashed past his eyes.
His lips slowly curled up into a sad smile and another heavy sigh escaped his lips while his fingers trembled slightly.
The ringing sound of his phone broke him out of his thoughts and he pulled it out from his pants pockets with a small frown.
Staring down at the caller's name, his expression turned to a calm one again, before he answered the call.
"Mum," he greeted the person at the other end after placing the phone on his left ear, then came his stepmother's soft voice.
