Chapter 264 - CHAPTER 264: WHERE DID YOU COME FROM (2)

After stopping in front of the family whose gazes were fixed on her, Kelly bowed slightly then slowly turned to the old man's grave and placed down the two flower bouquets which were in her hands and everyone watched her confusedly while wondering why she had dropped the two bouquets.

Kelly turned back to the family again, then bowed again and slowly walked away after giving her boss a nervous glance.

Carl's gaze followed the girl's back and he sighed inside, then turned around and started walking out of the cemetery with the family.

"Who is she?" The older woman turned to Zach and asked softly after they walked out of the cemetery while she glanced sideways at her son who is now on his phone.

Both Mira and Lucy also stared at him expectantly and Zach sighed inside then he replied, "She's Big bro's new secretary... Her name is Kelly." He also glanced sideways at his brother while wondering the reason why he had hired her as David had told him everything.

Is it because she had the same kind of aura as sister-in-law? He sighed again then walk inside his car with Mira.

The middle-aged woman, seeing that her son was about to drive off in his car, quickly walked toward him. "Son... You should go back to the mansion with us, okay?" She said softly, knowing that if he leaves now, it might even take a few months before they could see him again.

"Mm." Carl slowly nodded then started walking toward his car and just as he was about to enter it, his gaze darted to a far distance and he sighed inside.

His stepmother who had also seen the girl walking alone on the empty street also sighed and walked back inside the car to join her husband and daughter.

By then, Carl had already entered his car and drove off, with Zach's car taking the lead.

The other car which was left behind also started driving out of the cemetery area, and when they were about to reach the girl who still strolling on the empty street, the woman asked the driver to stop the car.

'Huh?' Kelly halted in her footsteps, seeing the car stopped beside her and she softly smiled at the couple who were gesturing her to enter inside, then carefully opened the passenger's door and sat down beside the driver.

The car rides took almost an hour before they finally arrived in the mansion and everyone silently got out of their cars and started strolling toward the large door.

By then, it was lunchtime already and plates of foods were already waiting for them in the dining area while the maids were still bringing out more from the kitchen.

The maids' eyes lit up slightly, seeing that the whole family was present; so that was the reason why their madam had asked them to cook a lot. They would sneak glances at the other lady that had also joined the family and after they were done arranging the foods, they slightly bowed to the family who had already sat on the chairs, then they all left the building toward their quarters.

Shortly after, everyone started eating silently, with the older man sitting at the head chair while Zach, Mira, and Kelly sat beside each other on his left side, and on his right side, sat the older woman, Carl, and Lucy.

Kelly who had been dragged here by the older couple barely touched the food as she would sneak nervous glances at her boss who was also eating silently like the others.

The gloomy atmosphere around the dining area was overwhelming and she sighed for the umpteenth time, then slowly glanced down at the food in front of her after picking up the fork. However, her hands would slightly tremble now and then, feeling the aura emanating from her boss who had been calm all along and she pursed her lips, hoping that she wasn't dragged here in the first place.

She had never expected to be in the same vicinity as this guy and she applauded herself inside, knowing that if it was the other employees, they would surely break down.

"Kelly... are you alright?" The middle-aged woman watched the girl's expressions and chuckled softly.

"Huh?" Kelly snapped out of her thoughts hearing the woman's chuckle and she hurriedly stammered, "Thank you, ma'am, the food is really delicious__ and you have a very great family." She smiled awkwardly and felt sweats trickling down her back as she sneaked a glance at her boss again.

Everyone chuckled softly, except Carl as he nonchalantly ate his food in an unhurried manner.

"Haha, Kelly... You haven't even touched the food, how did you know that it is delicious?" Zach finally muttered with a chuckle while everyone's gaze was fixed on the girl's untouched food.

'Argh! This is embarrassing.' Kelly felt like crying and she quickly buried her head in the food while eating rapidly. 'Good job Kelly... Now, you've embarrassed yourself in front of these mighty people of the City.' She berated inside and sighed exasperatedly.

Everyone would be willing to give anything in order to even sit in the same proximity as the CEO, now she's made herself a laughing stock. 'Well done Kelly... Argh! It is all that old man's fault.'

Everyone chuckled again and slowly shook their heads as their attentions were now fixed on the girl.

"Now, stop making the girl uncomfortable." The older man finally commanded and they all turned back to their foods.

'Thank goodness.' Kelly sighed in relief and she smiled gratefully at the man then continued eating slowly, carefully not to dropped the food as her hand still trembled.

Mira, whose gaze was still fixed on the girl sighed inside after noticing the cute dimples that had appeared on the girl's cheeks. She sneaked a glance at Carl who was still eating nonchalantly then turned back to her food gloomily while remembering what Zach had told her about the girl.

Seeing her now in person, she had now believed that her husband was not exaggerating, as the girl's disposition was just like her friend's.
