Because if it was in the past, an employee may be forgiven if it was just a minor mistake, however, now... even the smallest mistakes are not overlooked.

** Meanwhile, at the top floor inside the CEO's office **
David glanced down at his wristwatch while standing silently in front of his boss who now had another pile of documents in from him and was going through them one after another.
He sighed inside, seeing that lunchtime had passed by many hours.
Waiting patiently until his boss had finished sorting out the document in front of him, he softly cleared his throat to grab his attention. "S... Sir, your food__"
Carl suddenly glanced up, making the assistant halt in his words. He nodded curtly then turned back to the document again, and after a while, muttered, "Coffee."
"O... Okay, Sir." David quickly nodded and hurried toward the coffee dispenser, not daring to voice out his opinion about his boss's health, knowing that the doctor had advised him to stop drinking coffee, especially on an empty stomach.
He sighed inside again, knowing well the reason why his boss's mood was incredibly tough today because it is on this kind of date that the incident which was forever forbidden to be spoken about, occurred many months ago.
Walking back toward his boss with the cup of coffee in his hands, he made a mental note to call Zach, before his boss could do anything that would be harmful to himself.
After putting the coffee down, He silently walked to a corner then carefully took out his phone, and started creating a message. He suddenly felt a cold gaze on him and looking up, a small gasp escape his lips and he almost jumped in fright as his boss was now staring coldly at him. He quickly put the phone back inside his pants pocket, knowing that he was caught.
Carl turned his attention back to the documents after glancing sideways at the coffee cup and the office sank into silence again.
Some hours went by and it was almost dark outside. The assistant who was now sitting on the couch and also working on some documents would glance now and then at his boss whose unending gaze was now fixed on the computer in front of him.
He sighed inside for the umpteenth time, then a soft knock suddenly sounded from the door.
"Come in, " Carl muttered absentmindedly while his gaze was still fixed on the computer's screen, and shortly after, the door was slowly opened then a young lady came walking inside, neatly dressed in her office clothes while holding a document in both hands.
Watching the girl, David sighed inside. She was the new head of secretaries, appointed just some months ago and he does not need to guess the reason why his boss had hired her at first glance without caring to look at her qualifications which were nonetheless, very outstanding. Because she also reminds him so much of someone they knew very well.
"S... Sir." The girl greeted softly then muttered, "Here... Here's the... the report." She dropped down the document with trembling hands and after watching the man nod, bowed rapidly and flailed out of the office.
"Phew..." Walking back toward her desk, after closing the office door carefully, she heaved a huge sigh of relief and flicked the sweats off her forehead.
"Hehe, Kelly... You're so pitiful." One of the secretaries chuckled softly while glancing sideways at the trembling girl with a pitiful look.
The other secretaries also glanced up at her sympathetically while some scoffed inside and slowly shook their heads before turning back to their works.
Although Kelly was younger than most of them, they were also surprised that she was made the head secretary immediately after she was hired. Even though her qualifications were very great, there's really something fishy about her, apart from her clumsiness. But they dared not to say anything about it, seeing that the CEO had specifically hired her.
Watching the looks that the other secretaries were giving her, Kelly pursed her lips and glanced down at her work with a sigh. She looked down at her phone which had suddenly made a beeping sound and a small smile appeared on her lips, revealing the two cute dimples on her cheeks.
Reading through the contents, she chuckled softly then glanced far ahead at the door to the CEO's office and sighed heavily.
Hearing the girl's giggles, the other secretaries glanced up at her and shook their heads again with another sigh. Apart from being clumsy, they had also suspected that the girl might have a mental illness.
Kelly quickly sent a reply to the person at the other end, totally oblivious to what the other secretaries were thinking and she giggled again.
Shortly after, their heads snapped to the door to CEO's office which had suddenly opened and they hurriedly stood up from their seats and bowed rapidly while greeting at the same time.
Carl walked through the hallway in elegant strides with his assistant hurrying behind him.
Just like the other companies, this company also has an elevator that would take him down directly to the parking lot.
David quickly pressed the elevator button and walked inside after his boss. and when the elevator had come to a stop at the parking lot, he bid him goodnight then walked toward his car after watching him nod.
Carl also headed toward his car where the driver was already waiting for him with the backdoor opened.
