Walking toward the couch, she sat down beside her laptop and brought out her phone which had suddenly started ringing.
"Hey, Maya," She greeted softly after picking up the call.
Maya's voice sounded excited from the other end. "Clara, guess what... Ken and I are returning to City M next week, his grandparents had finally released us"
"Wow... really!? Congratulations." Clara's eyes lit up and she quickly added, "Then about your fashion mall? Are you going to open it soon?"
"Yeah, everything is all ready... I Will launch it when I return... The mall Ken got for me is really big, I heard it's one of the biggest in City M," Maya replied happily.
"Oh, that is very great." Clara chuckled then heard her friend continued.
"And you know what? The mall is owned by his best friend."
"Huh? Big brother?" Clara frowned slightly and Maya nodded from the other end.
"Yeah... I heard that he's going to launch a new hotel tonight... The new biggest in the city."
"Oh." Clara nodded slowly. So that means he's the owner of the company she works in. The CEO that never allowed to be mentioned. 'Hehehe, how ridiculous... That guy is really weird. ' She thought inside with a chuckle.
"C..l..a..r..a... What are you thinking about?" Maya sang from the other end after hearing her friend's soft laugh.
"Huh?" Clara quickly shook her head with a gasp and muttered, "N... Nothing..."
"Hehehe, ehm... Clara, are you finally falling for him?"
Clara heard her friend said again and she breathed out a sigh. "I don't know Maya... I'm trying to, but__"
"Don't tell me it's that idiot from your dreams again." Maya cut her off agitatedly. Now she's beginning to think if her friend's brain has an issue. How can she be dreaming about the same person and still struggling to fall in love with him in real life? Those were obviously her lost memories, playing tricks on her.'Argh!'
"Maya, don't call him an idiot... I love him." Clara pouted with another sigh and placed a hand on her chest.
Maya sighed exasperatedly and lowered her voice. "Clara, you know__"
"Yeah, Maya... I'm trying my best to forget him... I also want to fall in love with a real person. " Clara bit her lips and glanced sideways at the flower vase.
"That's more like it dear."
Maya sighed in relief from the other end and they continued chatting for a while before hanging up.
Dropping down her phone, Clara's eyes darted to the flowers again and she sighed heavily.
After that night, he had returned the next day and taught her more things about the comics again.
Then he had not come back again, probably busy with the new hotel's preparation but he had always made sure to text her.
And the bouquet, this morning__ she sighed again then stood up and walked inside her bedroom after picking up her phone and laptop.
Sitting down on the bed, she dropped the laptop then took the drawing tablet from the bedside table and connected them before scrolling through the countless comics he had drawn for her.
A small smile slowly appeared on her face and she continued drawing with a sigh of relief.
Many hours flew by then her hands wandered on the bed for her phone and she picked it up to order for food delivery then turned back to the tablet again.
Several minutes passed by then she heard the sound of her doorbell ringing and she walked out of her bedroom toward the door and after taking the pizza from the delivery guy, went to the dining area.
She was still eating, when her phone started ringing and she retrieved it from her pockets and stared down at the caller's name then sighed exasperatedly as she felt a headache coming.
"Hello, Clara... Aren't you coming?" Came the anxious voice from the other end after she answered the phone.
Clara slowly shook her head and lazily replied, "No, Linda... I have so many things to do." Then she heard the girl gasped and then the shuffling of the phone.
"Clara, please you have to come, the guys are already here."
"Yes, Clara... You have to help us out please."
Two voices sounded again and Clara sighed exasperatedly.
"Ashley, Chloe... I don't think I can__"
"But you promised to help us." Now it was Linda that spoke and she could hear slight sobs from the other end.
"Clara, are you going to abandon us just like this?"
"You know, you're the only one who could convince them."
The girls continued and Clara pinched the space between her brows with another sigh.

** At The Hotel's Launching Ceremony **
Many cars drove through the huge golden gate which was widely ajar while many security men and women in uniforms were lined up by its sides, in neat rows at the fronts of the golden metal fence that extend very wide, encompassing the whole district that the hotel was located.
Apart from the cars, many vehicles, including taxis were also dropping some people at the front of the hotel which had the name *GOLDEN PEARL HOTEL* largely emboldened at the top of the enormous and very tall skyscraper.
The hotel's name can be sighted from a very far end of the city as the building is one of the tallest in the city.
Inside, was a very vast area, and at the very far corner on the left side was the enormous swimming pool which was covered by a glass partition that reflected the bright lights from the many golden lamps that stood at each corner of the hotel.
While the right side contained the massive parking lot where many cars were already parked, with more cars still flooding toward it, and apart from this open parking lot was an underground parking lot, which was not made available due to tonight's event.
The skyscraper with so many floors stood proudly in the middle and was beautifully designed in a golden theme with many lights and decorations hanging from the many balconies on each floor.
