Clara frowned, afraid of where the topic is going.
"Clara, your baby has to call him or her big sister or big brother. Hehehe, Don't you think you should also__"
"Maya!?" Clara cut her off and sighed exasperatedly. She glanced at her babies who were staring at her in confusion while eating the snacks and a soft laugh escaped her lips.
Maya chuckled on the other end and continued softly. "I'll send you his picture, Clara, make sure you take a look at it, okay?."
"Argh!" Clara glanced down at the phone which was just hung up and started contemplating whether to block her best friend's contact or not. However, that would be too cruel. Another deep sigh escaped her lips, and just as she was about to drop down the phone, her friend's message suddenly came in and she slowly tapped into it with pursed lips, knowing that it would surely be the photo.
'This guy...' Her eyes widened slightly while staring at the photo. She could recall seeing him that day in the elevator and where again__?
Her frown deepened.
** Upstairs. **
"Zach... Wake up." Mira shook the guy who couldn't budge on the bed. " Argh!... Zach!?"
"Huh? What is it? Is it morning already?" Zach yawned lazily and grabbed her waist with one arm.
"Argh! Zach." Mira sighed exasperatedly and wriggled out of his embrace. "Of course it's not morning, it is almost nighttime, and she's here."
"Really?" Zach rubbed his eyes and sprang up from the bed. He had totally forgotten about their plan which had brought him back very late from the basement yesterday."Where's sister-in-law? Is she downstairs?"
"Yeah." Mira nodded then watched as he sprang up from the bed and she instantly grabbed him back. "Remember you're the birthday boy, make sure you invite everyone, now... and don't act suspicious," She warned sternly.
"Hehehe, leave it to me, baby, I've got everything covered," Zach replied with a grin and Mira quickly nodded and left the room while he picked up his phone from the bedside table.
** Downstairs **
Mira sighed in relief while walking down the stairs as she watched her friend chatting happily with the twins. 'Thank goodness she's not suspicious.'
She quickly joined them on the couch after switching on the TV then after a while, cleared her throat to grab her friend's attention.
"Clara... The Big brother I was talking about is actually my boyfriend's brother... Hehehe, when I showed him your picture, He was very happy and__"
"Mira!?" Clara sighed exasperatedly and glared at the girl. Why is everyone trying to matchmake her?
"Trust me Clara, when you see him. You'll really, really like him," Mira urged rapidly while staring at her pleadingly with a sweet smile.
Clara watched her expression and sighed inside. "Okay." She slowly nodded while making a mental note to turn down whoever it is. Her heart is already taken for goodness sake.
"Ahhh that's a relief, thank you so much." Mira chuckled and sighed in relief. It was going to be easy. "Babies, do you want more snacks?" She turned to the twins happily and they shook their heads.
"Thanks, Aunt Mira, " One of them said while the other one nodded then excitedly asked,
"Aunt Mira, where's the birthday cake?"
"Huh?" Mira who had been staring at the girls in a daze quickly snapped out of her thoughts.
"Yes Mira, and where's the birthday guy?" Clara also added and Mira sighed inside.
'Shit! That Zach.' She groaned inside then turned to them with a sweet smile. "Wait, let me__"
She paused mid-sentence as Zach suddenly came rushing down from upstairs with a wide grin.
"Hey baby, Is this beautiful lady your friend? The one you had been talking about?" Zach exclaimed with a huge grin and Mira quickly nodded.
"Yes, sweetheart... Her name's Clara, I've told you about her," she replied sweetly then stood up and held his arm. "Clara, this is my boyfriend Zach."
Clara Stared at the guy with furrowed brows and remember the photo Maya had just sent to her. not because it was the same person even though they looked so much alike, but because she had also seen him in the elevator that day, and he even called her sister-in-law. 'What is happening?' Her frown deepened.
"Mummy?"
Little Mia called out while the other twin also stared at her in confusion.
"Oh, nice to meet you," Clara said hurriedly after breaking out of her thoughts and Zach nodded with a grin then his attention turned to the twins.
"What!?... Sister-in-law__ I mean Clara? Are they your babies__"
"Zach." Mira grabbed his arm and gave him a stern look.
"Oh, your babies are very cute, just like you hehehe." The guy chuckled and sat down beside the twins. He was sure his brother was not going to mind.
The twins giggled and turned their attention to him.
"Thank you, uncle."
"You're also cute."
Zach grinned widely and felt a cupid hit his chest. "Awwn... Mira, your friend's babies are very smart too," he muttered happily and started playing with the kids while Mira rolled her eyes at the overacting guy.
Clara laughed softly and nodded. Her babies are really good at giving compliments.
Mira sighed in relief then sat down and they started chatting. Shortly after, the doorbell started ringing and Zach stood up to get it.
"Mira, are you living together? When are you getting married?" Clara asked excitedly after the guy left and Mira glanced up.
"Huh?" She frown slightly, not expecting her friend to suddenly ask that question, then an idea suddenly popped up in her head and her expression turned gloomy.
"Clara, you know he has a Big brother who isn't married yet, so..." She trailed off with a big sigh and dropped her head.
"Oh, no..." Clara held her friend's hands and also sighed. Is that why she's so eager to matchmake her with that guy?
She was still in her thoughts when sounds were suddenly heard from the door and Zach came back inside with many other people happily following behind him while holding some boxes in their hands.
