From her friend's angry expression, she had deduced that she wasn't joking. But how could she forget them in a short time? What had really happened?
She sniffed back her tears, still in her thoughts and the door suddenly opened then Lily walked inside.
"Sis Mira... Why are you crying? What happened to__" before Lily could finish her sentence in her usual soft voice, she gasped slightly as Mira instantly pulled her toward the couch.
"Lily, something is wrong with Clara. tell me what happened to her," Mira asked anxiously and watched as the girl sighed heavily.
"Lily, what is wrong? don't tell me she..." She trailed off, not wanting to utter the words that were stuck in her throat while more tears streamed down her face.
"Yes." Lily sighed again and nodded calmly. "She can't remember them," she added affirmatively as her thoughts drifted back to that night and the next morning; her sister had woken up, very energetic, just as the old man had promised.
She was also confused when her sister did not mention brother in law again and the man explained to her that,
'She had subconsciously blocked him out of her memories and even those people she thought are dangerous to her. Although the hypnosis helped, her mind also played a lot of part in it. Her mind desperately wanted to give up and when it was presented with the opportunity, it instantly grabbed it. Her body could not bear the shock of having to separate from him, so her brain shut him out together with other people she thought are threats to her.'
Tears also streamed down her face as she remembered the rest of the words the man had told her. She turned toward Mira who was wiping her tears then softly pleaded, "Please don't tell her anything about their relationship, otherwise, the pains will return if she tries to remember... Big Sis had almost lost her life".
"What!?" Mira exclaimed and glanced at the bathroom door. "W..What actually happened? Please tell me."
Lily sighed again and also glanced back at the bathroom door then started summarizing everything that happened to her.
Mira listened quietly while her fists slowly clenched and when the girl was done, she flared up. "Zach and Lucy would never do that Lily, this is all a misunderstanding... They would never say those words to Clara, they knew how much Big brother loves her. and Mum__"
"But the voices." Lily cut her off with a small frown. She had also seen the wristwatch that the girl had sent to her sister. However, those voices were theirs, unless if__ she gasped and turned to Mira who seems like she was thinking about something.
"Sis Mira... If it wasn't them, then is there someone__"
"Yes!" Mira jerked up from the couch with fury. "I should have seen this coming."
Zach had told her that Mum had gone to Clara's apartment and guessed she didn't tell her anything good, because she also came out crying. However, she had shrugged it off because she knew that her friend trusted Big brother and nothing could come in between them.
But now that she thinks about it, how could Mum have known about Clara? Even if Big brother had mentioned it, she couldn't possibly take any action. unless if that fox__
"Hehe, it is her... It is really her." She chuckled sadly and sat back down on the couch.
Lily's frown deepened, seeing where this was going. "Who?" She asked softly and watched as Mira looked up at her with a sad smile.
"Vivian... She fooled Mum that Clara was a threat to her and Big brother would actually fall for her__ and again, she used Zach's and Lucy's voice to make that phone call," Mira said with another chuckle. Even though she had on a smile, she was burning inside with anger.
The short times she had seen that Vixen before she could go abroad, she knew the girl was infatuated with Big brother and would do anything to get rid of anything that is a threat to her.
Lily who had been shocked by the revelation got out of her trance as her doubts were confirmed. "It's actually voice conning?" She asked with an indescribable emotion.
Mira nodded with a sigh. "Yes, it is... Vivian is capable of doing anything to have Big brother for herself. That girl is very dangerous."
Lily also sighed and dropped her head while her eyes flashed with so many emotions. It is actually a misunderstanding, and Brother-in-law's siblings didn't really hate Big Sis. However, her sister almost lost her life, due to the severe depression which had led to a heart illness and that guy... Matt had also told her that her sister's life was in danger.
Sniffing back the remnants of the tears that had fallen from her eyes, she took a deep breath and slowly held Mira's hands. "Sis Mira, please don't talk to her about it... Okay? and also, don't ask her about Brother-in-law again... please."She sobbed softly and Mira frowned.
"Why not? But she's supposed to know... She's supposed to remember Big brother."
Lily slowly shook her head and released her hands. "She can only remember things and people her mind wants her to... and even memories of some events would be altered... Please don't try to make her remember, the therapist said it is a very painful process and she might experience the same illness again," She said softly while wiping her tears. If her sister's body could not handle the shock and had almost lost her life, then what would happen if she go through it again.
Mira stiffened for some seconds then sighed heavily and slowly nodded. She knows Big brother would come up with a solution. "Alright, Lily... I understand," she said softly and Lily smiled at her gratefully.
"Thank you, Sis Mira."
They both sighed heavily and after some minutes, heard the bathroom door open.
Lily quickly wiped her tears then stood up and hurried toward the bed then continued packing her things, while Mira also wiped her tears then stood up from the couch.
