His thoughts had frequently wandered to her in these past few days.
And that day she hugged him in Clara's apartment__ he slowly listened to his heartbeat and after some seconds, sighed deeply.
Staring back into her eyes, a sad smile slowly appeared on his face and he slowly shook his head. "Lily... I think I'm in love with you," he muttered softly with another sigh.
Lily bit her lips and lowered her head with a sniff.
She knew it, the moment he barged inside the room with that anxious expression.
He really did have feelings for her too. however__
"Lily..." Jack slowly lifted her head with a pained look. "I'm a coward for not admitting it earlier... I'm so sorry Lily, I'm sorry."
Lily sniffed then nodded slowly in understanding, also knowing that it was too late... She took a step back while more tears streamed down her face and just as she thought he was going to release her__
Jack abruptly pulled her closer then slowly lowered his head and in the next second, a kiss landed on her lips.
Lily sobbed silently amid the slow but burning kiss and she instantly wrapped her arms around his neck while deepening it.
She had never felt so helpless her whole life. Even after finding out her parent's secret, the pain was not as excruciating as this.
Is their story going to perish just like this? Is this their fate?
The thought of him being with another woman made her feel like needles stabbing her heart__ however, their situation was hopeless. He will get engaged tomorrow, so she could just savor this moment.
The slow section lasted for like eternity and they finally broke away, each gasping for breaths.
Jack pressed his forehead against hers and carefully wiped her tears with both hands. "I'm so sorry," he muttered in grief then sighed inside.
Lily slowly nodded then wrapped her hands around him and listened silently to his heartbeat while Jack sighed again and stared up at the ceiling then started stroking her hair.
He had tried to convince himself that it was just a slight attraction not knowing that he had accidentally fallen for her.
This new feeling in his heart was very strange. He thought he loved Clara a lot but now realized that it was just affection. 'I'm very sorry Lily, you'll always be the only woman in my heart.'
'I love you too Jack, I'll continue loving you till my last breath." Lily tightened her arms around him and sighed heavily with a sniff.
Few minutes passed by before they finally pulled away from each other and Jack gazed down at her with a small smile.
"Can we go to the hospital now?" He asked softly and Lily slowly shook her head with a small smile.
"It is actually a setup... by Big Sis and Sis Mira," she replied softly and Jack shook his head with a chuckle.

The mansion's gate was widely ajar as many cars flew out simultaneously, almost crashing into each other.
The servants ran around in frenzy, each frantically seeking refuge.
But how could they hide from a ghost?
"Hehehe." Mira gleefully watched the scene from the window with a binocular in her hands.
She would groan now and then at her friend's incessant trembling, whose chattering teeth she could hear from the window.
"Clara!? get a hold of yourself. Geez, I can't believe you could be so weak." Mira rolled her eyes and finally walked away from the window.
"Haha, Claire... you're very funny."
"How can you be frightened by your own self."
The twins guffawed while sitting beside the girl whose eyes were wide-opened and she was obviously not out of her shock yet.
Clara pointed a trembling finger at Mira, slightly incensed. "It's all your fault. You should have acted as the ghost. You know I can't stand ghosts," she muttered incoherently and quickly wrapped both arms around herself.
The twins rolled in laughter and Mira slowly shook her head with a snicker.
"Tsk tsk tsk, you're the ghost Clara, you're the ghost."
Clara glared at the twins who had filled the room with their laughter then slowly stood up and dragged her trembling legs toward the bathroom.
Mira rolled her eyes then sat down on the bed with a sigh. She nonchalantly took out her phone and started tapping into it then felt two intense gazes on her.
"What is it?" She snapped at the guys and they quickly stood up from the bed.
"Hehe... Mimi, can you please show us the gun?"
"Yes Mimi, please let us see the baby."
They pleaded excitedly and Mira's lips twitched at the sides then she scoffed while turning back to her phone.
"Not showing," she replied nonchalantly.
She had instinctively brought it out because one of the stupid twins had angered her__ now she regretted it.
"And stop calling me Mimi__ I'm not a baby."
"Hehe, yes... But that's a very good name for babies."
"You should give it to your baby in the future."
"Good suggestion right!?"
"Now show us the gun please."
Mira's head snapped in their direction at the mention of the word baby.
Now they've done it__
Her expression dimmed and she instantly retrieved the gun from beneath the pillow then pointed it at them while pulling the trigger.
"Ahhhhhhh!!!"
"Are you crazy!!!"
The twins stared at her in astonishment then turned back and scrambled out of the room in all limbs, wondering what they had said wrong.
They couldn't afford to trifle with this maniac.
Mira sighed heavily and stood up with the gun then walked toward the closet.
After hiding it inside her luggage, she was slowly zipping the bag when a groan escaped her throat.
"Clara? What is it?" She turned sideways and glanced at the girl who had suddenly barged out of the bathroom.
Clara stared at her with widened eyes as her body shook violently. "Mi... Mira, I C... Can't stare into the mirror."
After entering the bathroom, she had already changed out of the clothes and was about to turn on the shower when her eyes subconsciously darted to the mirror.
"Argh! Who asked you to look into the mirror, Clara." Mira sighed exasperatedly and stared down at the short towel wrapped around her friend.
