" Clara, don't you think your sister is acting weird?" Maya said as her gaze was fixed on the word where the girl had just left.
Clara shook her head with a shrug. " She always goes to the riverside whenever she wants to be alone."
" Urgh, she always wants to be alone. It's a miracle that you're both from the same parent." Maya rolled her eyes then changed the topic " which play are we going to act this time? I should start making the costumes, we've got no time to waste. I can't believe I totally forgot it too. Urgh!"
" Yes, we should head right to the market. We can ask the kids on our way there, the type of play they want." Clara stood up and took her bag while Maya also did the same and they went out of the house.

" Argh! Dude, I can't believe I was tricked by those girls. I was so happy when the marriage certificates were given to us but then she just dropped the bomb on me, that's she's not pregnant. Does that make sense?." Ken paced in front of his car while whining on the phone as he glanced at the house in front of him now and then.
" Of course, how can she do this to me. The first second, we were married and the second after, she was seeking a divorce. Can't you see how unfortunate I am. . . wait do you mean you're here__" his eyes darted to the gate that was just opened and he stopped mid-sentence then bid the person on the other end goodbye.
" Maya, Maya wait..." he rushed toward the girls that just came out of the house and sighed in relief.
Clara glanced at Maya who was trying to control her anger then sighed inside and looked down not daring to meet the guy's gaze.
" Clara, please tell me it's not true, she was playing a prank on me, right? she's pregnant right?" Ken started while his gaze was fixed on Maya who was now fuming with anger.
" Ken, stop it already! how many times do I have to tell you that I'm not__ Oh shit, the neighbors might hear us." Maya sighed exasperatedly and grabbed Clara's hands.
Ken ran a hand through his hair agitatedly and ran after them." B..But the baby__"
" Ken, we're so sorry. It was all lies. we just wanted to save Maya from her father's sudden decision of marriage, " Clara said softly and sighed.
" Yes Ken, I couldn't think of anyone else to help me carry out this plan. Please go back, I'll also join you after the holiday is over. to sign the divorce papers, " Maya added with a sigh, not daring to look up at his hurt expression. Her eyes darted to the ground and she tightened her grip on the bag.
Ken sighed helplessly and looked between both girls." But Maya, I love you __"
"Goodbye, Ken." Maya sniffed back her tears and looked down. ' I love you too.'
" Clara let's go." She grabbed her friend's hand again and Clara looked between them while trying to control her own emotions. Is there really no way for them to be together? She sighed inside and slowly walked beside Maya after bidding him goodbye.
Ken's shoulders slumped and he stared at their backs until they disappeared into the small crowds that were walking on the street. He heaved a deep sigh then turned back and strolled toward his car.

__ The Next Day __
" Lily, where's your sister? and where are you off to this early?" Her mother asked while whipping a batter then glanced sideways at the girl who was eating hurriedly. and wondered why she was all dressed up.
" She's still sleeping Mum, I have to meet a friend," Lily replied while taking the plates into the sink.
" Aren't you going to help her with the play later?" Her mother added and handed her a tissue.
" I'll be back early Mum, bye, " Lily replied and wiped her hands with the tissue then tossed it inside the trash can and left the kitchen.
She walked out of the house and headed toward the market place which was now bustling with different kinds of festivities and she soon arrived in front of a hotel.
" I'm looking for this room's number." she went to the receptionist and said with a small smile while the other lady nodded then made a call and after a while directed her upstairs.
After walking up the stairs, she instantly located the room and sighed in relief then slowly knocked on the door.
" Dude, is this the girl you're here to meet?" Ken looked down at her with knitted brows. then made way for her to enter inside after getting a reply from his friend.
" Do you know her? have you met each other before, " his frown deepened as he stared at the girl who was now sitting across them silently.
" Mm." Carl nodded as his eyes were also fixed on her, not expecting the mysterious caller to be a young girl.
" Where is it?" He asked after some seconds and watched as she slowly retrieved a pen from her bag then pressed it.
Ken's eyes widened slightly as a very familiar voice started playing in the quiet room and his head darted to his friend who was also speechless.
An hour passed by before the voice stopped playing and Carl watched as the girl placed the pen on the table with a soft smile.
Lily glanced at his expression and sighed in relief then started speaking further.
She stood up after a while and bid them goodbye then left the room.
" She's so weird Dude, I've really underestimated her. But don't you think her idea is crazy?" Ken mumbled as his eyes lingered on the closed door.
Carl heaved a long sigh as he also stared at the door then looked back at the pen which was still laying on the table. " I'll do it." He chuckled and took the pen then shoved it inside his pocket.
