Her eyes darted across the couple who were hugging then was met with Maya's father's furious glare together with other two men who she made out to be Willy and his Dad, and their expressions were not better. ' Oh my God.'
" Are you hurt? what happened?" Ken stared at Maya's slightly swollen cheek then looked down anxiously at her body while his gaze lingered on her stomach.
He held her tightly in his arms then turned to the other men coldly and uttered, " Yes, I'm the child's father."
" Y..You..., this not true father." William stood up furiously while his gaze shifted between his father and the guy. He thought his wish of marrying the girl he had been after since high school was finally going to be fulfilled. He had regretted ever trying to molest her which had ended their relationship and finally wanted to win her back. But what was this? How can she suddenly be pregnant?
" Mr. Tan, I'm afraid this marriage has to be canceled. I'm so sorry... Willy, our business here is over. Let's go." The man stood up with a sigh and patted his son's shoulder. After confirming the truth from the guy himself, he couldn't waste his time here anymore.

" Let's go! Or do you want to marry a girl who is pregnant with another man's child!!!?" The man snapped and William sighed helplessly then glared at Ken.
" Maya, I'm so sorry for what happened back in high school. Please forgive me." He sighed again and slowly followed his father out of the house after giving her a last glance.
" I'm really disappointed in you Maya! how can you do this? I'm sure your dead mother would also be heartbroken to see you like this. I allowed you to go to the city, is this how you repay me!!!." Her father snapped then turned to Ken." And you, I'm not going to let this go. Both of you meet me in my office tomorrow!!!" He added and also strode out of the room after glancing down at his wristwatch.
' Wow, that was too smooth.' Clara's mouth hung open as she watched the event unfolded which had finally come to an end. She couldn't believe the problem is just solved like that. but then, there's still another problem. She watched as Ken carefully sat Maya down, who was now beaming with a smile.
" Ken, thank you so much, " Maya said cheerfully while wiping her fake tears. Even though she had received several slaps from her father, it was worth it.
Ken chuckled and slightly pecked her on the lips. " Anything for you my love, now how's my baby doing?" He asked hurriedly then placed a hand on her stomach with a happy smile. He couldn't believe he was actually going to have a child with the woman he loved.
' Huh?' Clara's heart thumped rapidly and she looked at Maya who also looked back at her worriedly.
" Ah, my eyes." She suddenly exclaimed and covered her eyes then rushed out of the room as her friend had suddenly enveloped the guy in a deep kiss without answering his question.
' hehe, my Maya's back.' Ken stared down at her after the long kiss and peck her cheeks again. He was so happy that she's not avoiding him now and even though it was due to her pregnancy at least they will finally get to be together.
" Maya? when did you find out and why didn't you inform me earlier, " he asked softly while stroking her hair as her head lay on his chest.
' Huh?' Maya knitted her brows not quite comprehending his words. She thought he was still in the act but why was he acting like everything was real. She wasn't pregnant.

Clara stood outside the door then heaved a sigh of relief and wondered what was taking them so long then after a while, Maya came outside with Ken.
" Have you told him the truth?" She dragged her friend back and whispered while they were walking toward Ken's car.
" Clara, I think something is wrong with his head. Anyway, I won't tell him now. Didn't you hear what my father said, we should meet him in his office tomorrow. If he comes back to his senses now I don't think he'll agree to go with me and our plan will all go to waste as my father may come up with the crazy idea of marriage again, " Maya whispered back and walked toward Ken who had already opened the door for her. She couldn't risk exposing her lies now.
" Oh." Clara slowly nodded in understanding and watched as Ken carefully helped her friend inside the car then shook her head and sighed at the poor guy.
She walked forward and also entered the car then he started driving them toward the hotel. All the while he kept glancing at Maya's stomach and Clara sighed for the umpteenth time.
" Where's the clinic, we need to go and confirm if the baby is alright, " Ken said as they arrived at the hotel. After seeing the slap marks on her cheeks, his mind was not at ease.
" hehehe, Ken dear... I said I'm fine." Maya replied awkwardly and groaned inside.
Ken shook his head and turned back to Clara. " Clara, please can you show me the clinic's direction?" he said pleadingly but the excitement was still evident on his face and Clara's eyes widened slightly while her head flipped to Maya.
" Ken!, I said I'm fine, let's go inside I'm famished from all the outbursts earlier." She placed a hand on her forehead while pretending she was in pain. ' Argh,' she was going to knock some real sense into him after meeting her father tomorrow.
Ken quickly nodded and turned to Clara again. " I'm so sorry Clara, can you please walk home from here, I need to take Maya inside."
" Yes yes sure." Clara quickly nodded and got out of the car happily after waving them goodbye, not wanting to be entangled in this messy situation anymore.
" Baby, are you sure you're alright, and your headache, we should go to__"
