Clara sighed exasperatedly and shook her head then entered the car with the driver while watching through the window as Maya approached the two men.
" M.Miss, I'm so sorry for yelling at you earlier. Your friend is really nice, I can't believe she's willing to bail me from the police, I'm very grateful. It's a fortunate thing that you came out early otherwise my source of income is over, " the man babbled incessantly while glancing through the window anxiously then finally sighed in relief as he saw the policemen left.
Clara listened to him silently and just gave him a half-hearted smile as her friend came inside the car sat beside her in the back seat.
The man thanked them again after uttering another apology with a grateful smile then started driving toward the subway station while they all chatted happily in the car.
When they finally arrived, The man helped them unload their luggages while they went to buy tickets.
" Maya, what did you tell those policemen earlier? " Clara gave her a questioning look while folding her hands and Maya laughed.
" Well... I asked them for directions." she collected the tickets and they started walking toward the train after waving at the taxi man.
Clara shook her head and sighed helplessly. just as she expected." Maya!, does that mean__"
" Yeah, they were just patrolling. hehehe Clara, I couldn't get enough of the man's expression. It was so exhilarating, " she replied gleefully as they passed through the many rows of seats then sat in the back seats.
" Didn't you see how scared the man was? and you even forced him to ride us for free, " she chided while putting the luggages inside the storage at the top. She hoped her friend will not land in trouble one day due to these childish pranks.
" Hehe, serves him right. how could he yell at you and go free?" Maya held her arm as she sat down then sighed after some seconds and put her head on her shoulder. " I missed you, " she said and sighed again.
" I missed you too, Maya, " Clara also whispered and her eyes slowly darted to the window then she bit her lip while the train started moving. ' goodbye Carl, I'll miss you.' She hoped he would find out the truth soon and whoever was behind the false news. She sighed heavily and turned to her friend who had already brought out two packets of snacks.
" Here, take this." Maya opened a packet and handed it to her then started munching on the one in her hand.
Then after a while, she sighed and glanced at her friend who was also munching on the snack slowly then muttered, " Clara, do you think I'm being too harsh on him?"
After some seconds she stared at her friend who probably had not heard her and was spacing out through the window. " It's okay Clara, everything will be alright. " she lay her head on her shoulder again and sighed. Maybe it was her bad luck that had affected her best friend and that was why she was also unfortunate in love too.
After a while, Clara looked away from the window and put down the snacks as she doesn't have much appetite then glanced down at Maya who had fallen asleep with her head laying on her shoulder. She chuckled and made her headrest properly on the seat's headrest to make her comfortable.
She then glanced toward the noisy crowd sitting at the front rows of seats and put on her headset then also fell asleep after a while, while listening to music. It was going to be a very long journey.

Carl tapped his fingers on the table continuously as his eyes were fixed on the computer screen while his expression was darkening with each second.
" B..Big Boss, I don't think the hospital's system was hacked because there are traces of any hacking." A guy sitting in front of the desk stammered and wiped the sweat trickling down his forehead. Even If the system was truly hacked, then it was done by a very professional hacker and he wondered who that person might be as he had thought of himself as the best hacker in the country.
Carl sighed inside as he kept receiving the same answer over and over. She had told him that it was all set up but why couldn't he find any evidence. Was she lying again? what does she really want?.
" And the emails?" he asked after some seconds while knowing he was going to receive the same answer again.
" W..We couldn't locate the sender, " the man answered again and hoped his boss would stop torturing him. It had been one week since he had instructed them to locate the sender of the anonymous email, which couldn't be traced just like the hacker.
David sighed inside as he watched his boss's anxious expression. He also didn't want to believe she could do that. The few times he had seen her with his boss made him realize she was very friendly and honest. He had doubted the person that sent him and his boss the anonymous email had something to do with it. If the hacking was true then they could be related.
