" What did you do to her!!!" Carl thundered as he pointed the gun which he had just retrieved from his pocket toward Jack's forehead.
" And who are you to know,?." Jack chuckled and gazed back at him calmly. enjoying his hurt expression.
" Carl stop it!!! please, please, s..stop it." Clara cried as she hugged his back and tried to drag him away fruitlessly, but he couldn't budge. she looked toward Jack who was also facing the gun calmly and more tears flew down her face. ' What have I done?.'
" Don't let me repeat myself" Carl's voice thundered inside the room and he started pulling the trigger slowly.
Clara gasped and she felt her heart stopped beating. " Jack!, go!!!" She wailed helplessly and looked between the two guys, feeling powerless. She quickly left Carl's back and ran toward him. " please go, Jack, run..." she whispered as she tried to block him from the gun. She knew Carl would not listen to any explanation now as every physical evidence showed that something had really happened between them.
Carl's heart ached as he felt her suddenly left his back and hugged the guy in front of him. Had she been cheating on him with Jack? Why did she confess to him if she doesn't love him?
He slowly put back the gun in his pants pocket and chuckled. He was a fool for believing her when she told him they were just friends. How can friends act like couples and even spend a night together in a hotel suite? Does she take him for a fool?
Clara gasped as she was suddenly shoved away from Jack. " C..Carl, please listen. . ." She cried as he grabbed her out of the room. Her gaze darted back to Jack who was wiping the blood that was still oozing out of his nose. " I'm sorry, " she whispered as more tears flushed out of her eyes. It was all her fault. She should have told him earlier about her relationship with Carl. Now he almost got killed because of her. ' I'm so sorry Jack.' she gave him one last look as Carl hurled her out of the suite.
" Get out!" Carl snapped and the driver quickly scrambled out of the car as his body shook rapidly. He watched as his boss shove the girl inside the backseat and slammed the door, then he also entered the driver's seat and zoomed off.
' What is happening?' the man wondered as he remembered that she was the girl he had picked up several times during weekends. His eyes darted around the street and he sighed in relief as people had not filled the area as it was still early in the morning.

Inside the car, Clara sniffed back her tears as her hands were clamped together between her legs. She slowly lifted her head after some minutes and peeked up at his side profile.
She bit her lips to muffle her cries as more and more tears streamed down her face. How could she convince him that had nothing really happened between her and Jack? why was she stuck in this sticky situation and how did he know that she had gone out with Jack. " C..Carl__"

She flinched back and kept her mouth shut throughout the whole journey until they reached his house. He parked the car in the garage then got out and strode to her side.
Clara winced as he jerked her out of the car towards his house. She tried to free her arm but his grip instantly tightened on her.
When they reached the living room, he pushed her on the couch and towered in front of her.
Clara looked up at his pained expression and felt like something stabbed her heart. Even though he was trying to mask it with anger, she knew that he was feeling betrayed inside. " Carl, please let me explain, " she stood up and tried to grab his hands.
