Lilly woke up around noon the next day, the sun was shining brightly in the room since the curtains were raised. She held her head with her left hand and groaned in pain. She felt a terrible headache.
" Where am I?" She asked herself getting out of bed. The only thing she could remember was her washing her hands in the washroom...
" Oh, the blue hoodie guy. He kidnapped me!" She exclaimed when her memory finally made sense to her. She run out of bed and tried to open the door but it was locked. She kept on screaming and hitting the door but no one opened it.
" You didn't notice my presence. That's bad, everyone does when I enter a room", Newton's voice came out from the side of the bed seated in a leopard-printed chair. Lilly got agitated suddenly and she wrinkled her brow inquisitively.
" You," she said pointing out her finger in his direction.
" Yeah, yeah.. what?", Newton asked too tired of all the negative comments from the public.
" What am I doing here? and what do you want?", She asked angrily.
" When you get a chance to leave here, ask your brother" he answered carelessly smoking his cigar. She then looked down at her nightwear and back at him, trying to ask the obvious question.
" I don't have your time, ask your maids", and with that, he opened the door and left.
As soon as he left, two maids came to her with some lunch and clothes.
" Good morning lady Lilly, master asked us to attend to you," one of the maids said pointing to the other next to him.
"Tell him I'm fine " Lilly replied refusing to have her lunch.
" He said you should be ready in thirty me time and meet him at the beauty salon" the second one announced.
" Why?" Lilly asked looking surprisingly at them.
Meanwhile, Lisa was on her way to meet Bill. He sounded urgent earlier on phone.She has just returned from the U.S.A and had been living in one of her father's hotels in China Town working on a case for one famous artist in Hollywood. She had canceled all her meetings to meet Bill, she even canceled her meeting
" Park the car" she ordered her driver when she got to the Compromise Heaven hospital. Bill was pacing up and down on the pavement in front of the hospital. He kept on dialing a number and making the calls but the person seemed not to be answering. He was a stout man who hated nonsense and with quite a temper. He had thick brown hair and shaggy brows.
" I don't know what is wrong with short people" Lisa could tease"
We the tall one could easily forgive whiles these short ones act like dwarfs with tiger hearts." She could say bursting out laughing happily and Bill could chase her around. They had been together for only three weeks and Bill proposed. However, Lisa found out she might be destroying her relationship when she reveals who her father is to him. Throwing his phone away and cursing a million times, he turned to the tiny voice trying to scream his name from afar.
" Bill!" Lisa run to where he was causing the wind to blow her hair. Bill held her as she came to a halt and removing strands of hair from her face, he embraced her.
" What happened? Where's Lilly?" She asked tensed.
" Come with me" he earned and led her inside the hospital. In the hospital bed, Mr. Force lay down with his eyes staring intensely into the air. Lisa looked at the table beside the bed where Lilly had left her bag. She noticed she left her dinner on the table.
" Poor Lilly," she thought. " Where could she have been?".
" How's he ?" She said looking at Mr.Force.
" Better than before.." he answered with a smile and Lisa did too.
"I don't know much about the Waves' family but I heard Newton is the most dangerous one of them all" he has begun drawing her attention and Lisa swallowed hard.
" Are you ok?" He asked her when he noticed she was suddenly feeling uncomfortable.
" Yeah sure," she answered smiling weakly.
" Everything will be fine" Bill assured her.
"Sadly, Newton kidnapped my sister," he said and Lisa looked at him shocked.
" How? When?" She kept on asking question after question thinking of telling him the truth. She had lied about him giving a false identity about her father. She was aware most people especially in the business sector hated him. He was the "scar" in the business sector ( scar from the lion king) because there was a story behind how he inherited his grandfather's wealth.
" He called me around 1 am today, to tell me, my sister was with him," he said.
" That bastard, he asked me to choose between my sister and the company" he added angrily.
" Oh no," Lisa said disappointedly and Bill raised his eyebrow at her questionably.
" He's my father," Lisa said bluntly not caring about the consequences anymore.
" Excuse me?" He asked making sure he heard her right.
" Do you know Newton Waves.. wait?" He said raising his hand to tell her to hold on with her speech since she was about to reply to him.
" Is William Rich not your father!" He exclaimed running his hand in his hand and resting both hands on his hand afterward.
" No... Newton is my father" she said in a lower tone than before.
" Why didn't you tell me?" He asked shaking her shoulders and screaming into her face.
"I.. thought of surprising you" she lied shutting her eyes tightly.
" Why are you still lying?" He asked again and stormed out of the hospital room. He left the hospital without telling her, Lisa couldn't find him or even tell him where he had gone to.
She left the hospital feeling angry and she asked her driver to take the day off. It had only been twenty minute drive and she was stuck in traffic.
" Stupid traffic!" She yelled hitting the car wheel and like that she kept on cursing other careless drivers still she got home. The mansion is nestled in the hills above the village of San Simeon. It took her about five hours to reach home. She harshly drive inside the mansion, came down from her car, and tossed the keys to one of the security men who quickly stopped saluting to catch the keys. Lisa was a very strict woman and was respected by all who knew her. She was known as the ' tiger woman' and despite being his father's joy, she was the only one who could get him on his toes. She noticed some changes in the compound as there were no parties. It was rather quiet. Her dad loves having parties with his businessmen, especially on Saturdays, they could be at it the whole day.
" Where's Newton?" She only calls him by his first name when there's a problem and the security man got the hint.
" He is at the beauty salon", he replied putting the keys in the pocket of his yellow uniform. ( He looked just like the fashion District Force).
" Of course" Lisa sneered and walked away.
In all, there were twenty security men at the mansion who run a shift. Thus ten in the day and the others at night. Those in the day wear a yellow uniform like the Fashion District Force and those at night wear purple like the Downtown Center Guards. On an impulse, she decided to go to the Casa Grande and headed to the private theater. She knew most visitors like to go there and his father could have taken her there to feel at home. Lilly was seated at the far end of the daybay lost in her thoughts. Finally calmed, Lisa walked her way smiling in her direction but she didn't notice her presence until she called her name. Lilly rushed to meet her like a little child.
