"Is this alright?"
Yanmei asks, putting the dress she pulled to her body and looking at Guang for approval.
The girl rolled her eyes and gave Yanmei a thumbs up, seemingly irritated.
Which she really is, but she couldn't complain.
Yanmei puts her dress down and glares at Guang.
"Talk, you know? At least, compliment me!"
"What else should I say!? I feel like I've already told you all the positive adjectives I could think of!"
Guang fired back.
Yanmei stomps her feet and drags the dress to the counter to pay.
Guang followed her closely behind.
"You know, we should eat. I'm hungry."
"You finally said that after 3 hours of shopping for just one dress."
Guang said, rolling her eyes at Yanmei.
"I need to look good for the party."
"We're still not sure if Uncle will agree to that."
Knowing Shihong, Guang is certain, he wouldn't allow Yanmei to go to that party.
He doesn't like the idea of Yanmei drinking and hooking up with a stranger.
To which she is doing.
"Then I can say that we'll only stay at your house."
If Yanmei is feeling the need for someone, she'll go to Guang's house and invite her to go clubbing to hunt.
Her excuse will always be sleeping over at Guang's house to spend quality time.
Her father, trusting her wholly and not having a single idea, would always agree because he didn't want his daughter to be sad.
"Uncle trusted you so much. Why are you doing this?"
Guang asks her friend as if she's begging Yanmei to stop.
The girl looks at her and shrugs before giving her card to the cashier.
"Can't I have some fun?"
"Yes, you can, but not this way, Yanmei."
"If Uncle knew about this, his world would shatter in front of him. You know how much he loves you."
"Well, he wouldn't have a single idea about this if someone shuts up."
Yanmei grabs the paper bag and walks away.
Guang sighs before following closely behind Yanmei.
She knew she wouldn't be able to stop the girl from doing something because if she did, Yanmei would only do something crazy.
-
"Roulan!"
The girl groans and looks at her back to see one of Chang's friends, Luo Lei.
Luo Lei used to be friends with Roulan, but the guy decided to cut her off and went to Chang to become one of the popular guys.
Well, for bad reasons.
Chang's group of friends are the bullies and the so-called King of the clowns.
Yep, they are really bad.
Lei puts his arms around Roulan, and the girl quickly scrunches her nose at his smell.
"Can you help me?"
"With what?"
Roulan asks, moving slightly away from him.
"Well, I hooked up with this girl last week, and we've been doing great until I asked her to have a date with me, and she decided to finish things between us."
Lei looks at Roulan.
The girl furrows her eyebrows before removing Lei's arms around her.
"So? What should I do about it?"
"Ah well, can you track her? You know so I can fix things between us."
Lei smiled at Roulan.
"Lei, you know that it's illegal."
"Oh, come on. You'll help me, or I should beat you up?"
And there it is the threat.
Lou Lei is known to threaten people if they do not do what he wants them to do.
Roulan, not being a fight magnet and wanting to avoid it at all costs, could only accept Lei's request every time.
Ever since Lei became friends with Chang, he has been hooking up with countless ladies.
Though he normally doesn't like girls like that romantically, there are only a couple of times Roulan has helped Lei track the girl.
And this is one of the occurrences.
Lei stared at Roulan blankly as he waited patiently for her answer.
Not wanting to deal with him, could only sigh and nods.
"That's why I can always count on you."
-
"Yanmei, look."
The girl looked at where Guang was pointing and saw the guy that she hooked up with.
She groans and sighs before grabbing Guang's wrist and dragging her away.
"Wait! Ting!"
"Oh wow, you managed to think of another name, huh."
"Ugh! There's no time for this."
Yanmei and Guang ran toward the fitting room to hide from the guy.
"Fuck! Where the hell did they go?"
The guy outside said as he messed up his hair and ran toward the end of the store.
Yanmei glares at Guang as if suspecting her.
"Did you tell him our location?"
"What? Of course not!"
"Then how the hell did he manage to know I was here?"
Yanmei went out of the fitting room with Guang following behind her.
"I don't know, maybe he hired someone to track my phone."
"I don't think so; he's only in college."
Yanmei and Guang went to a restaurant and sat down.
"Order up and let's eat; I haven't eaten anything."
"That's bad for your health."
Yanmei looks behind her back and sees the guy with a smile on his face.
The girl curses under her breath before looking at Guang and giving her the menu.
"Hey, why did you suddenly call us out?"
He sat down beside her.
"Can you move away? You smell like a sock."
"Oh, sorry."
The guy spoke up and distanced his body from Yanmei.
"Ting, did I do something wrong?"
Guang snorted, making the guy glare at her.
"What are you laughing at?"
"Nothing."
Guang says so and focuses on the menu.
"Ting, please tell me if something is wrong."
"Nothing's wrong."
"Then why do you want to finish us?"
Yanmei sighs and looks at the guy.
"Lou Lei, can you fucking stop? I'm tired."
Lei gritted his teeth at what Yanmei said.
"Ting! It's only been a week since we became official, and you're bored already!?"
"Lei, it's not even my decision to be official with you!"
Yanmei stands up in her chair.
The people around the restaurant looked at them and started to mumble.
"What? How can you say that?"
"I don't even like you one bit! Nor are you my type! Also, I don't want to be associated with someone who smells so awful."
Yanmei gags as she smells Lei.
The guy felt hurt by what she just said and balled his fist.
He raised his hands and was about to hit Yanmei when someone held his arms.
"Oh, you regret even raising your hand at me."
Lei looked behind his back and saw a big guy with an emotionless expression.
The guy looks at Yanmei and bows, doing the same thing towards Guang.
"Miss, what do you want to do with him?"
Lei gulps at what he just heard.
So, Ting is the daughter of someone rich!?
He shouldn't have offended her!
"Ting, what's this?"
"I already told you to stop pestering me, yet you dare to raise your hands at me!"
"My bodyguard can handle you."
The guy nodded his head and bowed down; he then dragged Lei away from the store so as not to piss Yanmei off more.
"Ting! Come on. I only want you back!"
Lei yelled, but Yanmei didn't have the energy to deal with him.
"Hey Ting, what would you like to order?"
Guang teases Yanmei.
The girl groans before glaring at Guang.
"Can you stop? My day is so ruined right now."
"First, that bastard girl didn't even dare to help me."
"Second, Dad can't seem to trust me!"
"And lastly, this guy shows up!"
"I can hear you."
Guang said and nodded her head before calling a server and telling him their order.
"I'm sure Uncle will see this. You will be grounded."
"Well, fuck me."
-
"What's that?"
As Yanmei steps inside their mansion, Shihong is waiting in front of the door with his arms crossed over his chest.
He looks at his daughter with questioning eyes.
"Dad, I don't even want to talk about it."
"Oh, you will."
"It's nothing."
Yanmei said and walks past her father.
"I didn't even know you had a boyfriend."
"He's not my type."
"Then why did you answer him?"
"Very persistent."
Shihong sighs at his daughter's answer.
Yanmei waits for her father's next words, but she didn't hear anything, so she walks straight to her bedroom.
"What am I going to do with you? I'm trying to fix our relationship, Princess, but you seem to not like it."
