Roulan got invited to their table, and now she's just listening to them quietly.
She couldn't help but look at the features of the three.
Ai has that younger sister vibe to her. She has very charismatic cat-like eyes that will pierce through everything with a glare.
A cute button nose and thin lips complimented her diamond-shaped face.
Xiurong is like that cutesy cousin of yours. Her big brown eyes are projecting the innocence she still has. She has heart-shaped lips that complement her heart-shaped face shape, and yet she also has that button nose.
Changying looks tough with her features. She has those almond eyes, as well as a button nose and very thin lips, which complement her long face shape.
"Roulan, try this; I made it."
Huiqing said, putting the sandwich in front of Roulan's face as she smiles widely at the girl.
Roulan shakes her head with a smile.
"You don't want to try?"
Huiqing asks, her eyebrows furrowing in confusion.
Roulan's face drops the smile before she giggles and shakes her head again.
"No. I was just thinking something."
Roulan said and took a bite from Huiqing's sandwich.
She hums as her eyebrows furrow, making Huiqing conclude that it's delicious, just as she expected.
"It's so yummy!"
Roulan's eyes sparkle in delight as she nods her head, grabbing Huiqing's free hand and shaking it.
"You can officially open a restaurant."
Huiqing giggles before she withdraws her hand from Roulan's hold and hits the girl playfully.
"You two can continue your flirting outside, ya know? I feel the singleness."
Xiurong said with an innocent smile on her face.
Huiqing looks at her before teasing her with her tongue.
"You're just jealous because you don't have anyone."
"Love will come to me; I shouldn't chase it."
Xiurong said as she scrunched her nose with a smile.
"Huiqing, I should go back to our table."
The said girl looks back at Roulan as she nods her head.
Roulan stands up from her chair and goes to where Yu and Lanfen are, seeing someone very unfamiliar yet feeling like she saw the girl already talking to the two.
As she went away, Changying looked at Huiqing.
"Why did you suddenly want to pretend and have a girlfriend?"
Huiqing was caught off guard, but she cleared her throat and smiled at Changying.
"What are you saying?"
Ai and Xiurong both look at each other in confusion.
"What?"
"Aren't you pretending?"
"Changying, what kind of question is that?"
Ai asks, taking a bite from her apple.
Changying looks at her before glaring at Huiqing, making the girl stop for a while in confusion.
"You told us you'd never fall for a girl."
"People change Changying."
Xiurong said, to which Ai agreed as she continuously nodded her head.
"Yeah, and it's good to see Huiqing fall for someone already."
As Roulan reaches the table, Yanmei quickly takes notice of her but ignores her presence until the girl has to cough to get Yu and Lanfen's attention.
"Roulan! Hey!"
Lanfen greeted the girl happy as she stood up from her chair and hugged her.
Yu went afterward with a smile on her face.
"What's up?"
Roulan asks, looking at Yanmei before the two and questioning them.
"Oh she's-"
Yanmei quickly stands up, putting her hand out for a handshake as she smiles a little at Roulan.
"I'm Zhao Yanmei; nice meeting you."
Yanmei spoke as Roulan smiled and grabbed her hand, shaking it in the process.
"I'm Li Roulan, pleased to meet you."
"I know."
"You said something?"
Yanmei smiles before she waves her head, breaking the handshake and saddening her.
"I didn't say anything."
"Oh, I might have heard something from someone."
Yu and Lanfen, on the other hand, are shocked when Yanmei stands up and offers her hand for a handshake.
Lanfen looks at Yu in confusion.
"Didn't you say she's not that friendly?"
"Yeah, she is not friendly."
"Then why..."
Yu and Lanfen look at each other before smiling, looking at each other with knowing eyes.
"She likes her, that's for sure."
Lanfen called out, which Roulan heard and looked at.
"Who likes who?"
"Oh, it's nothing, just another friend liking someone."
Roulan's mouth turned into circles as she nodded her head and looked back at Yanmei.
"You can sit down now and eat; you said Yu will be touring you around."
"Ah, right, I can't."
Yu and Lanfen sat down beside each other as Roulan took the seat beside Yanmei.
Roulan's eyebrows furrowed in the process.
"What? You have a vacant class later."
"That's right, but after we'll be having our quiz, and I'd like to take that time to study."
"Then, who'll be taking our new friend?"
Wait, I'm a friend already?
Yanmei couldn't help but feel happiness; at least for now, Roulan has already accepted her as her friend.
It'll change in the future anyway.
"That's the problem..."
Yu said as she suddenly hesitated before looking back at Roulan.
"Could you?"
Roulan sighs before she nods her head, smiling widely.
"I could use my other time to do my homework."
"I can help you."
Yanmei spoke out with a smile on her face.
Roulan smiles, nodding her head as she thanks the elder.
"No worries."
It's my job as your future wife.
With a few more minutes until Yanmei finished her dish, the bell quickly rang.
All the students stood up from their chairs as they rushed out of the cafeteria and went to their respective classrooms.
Huiqing and her friend approach Roulan's table as Yu and Lanfen grab their trash and go to the garbage bin to throw it.
"Hey, Roulan."
The said girl looks to her side and sees Huiqing with her friends.
The smaller girl smiles but glances behind Roulan, seeing a girl almost the same height as her.
"Who is she?"
Huiqing asks, offering a sweet smile at Yanmei, but the girl could only look at her coldly.
"Oh, she's Yanmei, a new friend."
Roulan said with a smile before stepping aside for a while, wanting to introduce Huiqing to her new friend.
"Yanmei, this is Huiqing, my girlfriend."
Yanmei's hands balled into fists, but she gave the girl in front of her a thin smile, bowing down.
"Hello."
She said it emotionlessly, looking at her back and seeing the three looking at her curiously.
"Is that the real clothing from that Famous collection?"
Ai yelled out, pointing at Yanmei's clothes.
As she walked to school, the girl was dressed in a collection from the Famous clothing brand. Her outfit is complete, including the Famous necklace that you can only see through the glasses as it's being auctioned.
It was sold to someone for 3 million yuan.
Yanmei smiles before she nods her head, making Ai and Xiurong gasp in excitement.
"I heard the necklace was sold for 3 million; are you the one who bought it?"
"Ah, it's not me, but my father."
"Woah, you're rich!"
Yu and Lanfen finally went in their direction and greeted the three behind Huiqing.
"Classes are starting; we should get going."
Yu and Lanfen both bow down before walking out of the cafeteria, leaving the six of them.
"Huiqing, the coach is looking for us now."
"Oh, let me say goodbye to Roulan first."
Huiqing said, answering Changying's statement.
"Well, do you want to go out later? I know a place."
Huiqing said with a smile on her face.
Roulan smiles as she nods her head, waving goodbye to Huiqing and her friends.
As the four went out, Roulan looked at Yanmei, who couldn't get her eyes away from the door as Huiqing's figure faded.
"Hey, Huiqing is beautiful, right?"
"She is, but her aura's off."
Roulan's eyebrows furrowed at what Yanmei said.
"How can her aura be off? It's alright."
"In my opinion, she's just off."
Yanmei grabbed her bag from the chair and went out first.
Roulan shrugs her shoulders before following the girl behind, walking beside her as she looks at the empty hallway.
"Well, where do you want to go first?"
"Let's go and work on your homework first."
"What? We can start the tour right now."
Yanmei looks at her before she sighs.
"Do you want to start your homework right now? We can do it because you'll get stressed out if we don't."
"Uhh, well-"
Yanmei clings onto Roulan's left arm before she tugs on her sweatshirt. Roulan glances at her and sees Yanmei with a smile.
"Come on now, that tour can wait."
Roulan smiles before she nods, guiding Yanmei to where the library is.
