chapter 10
Kíli POV
I open my eyes and see Cirler standing over me. I watch in horror as he pokes me with his sword. I flinch away from him and throw myself off of the bed. I stumble over to the door and slam it closed. I take a deep breath and try to calm down.
"This isn't over!" Cirler yells, barging into the room. He slams the door once more and starts kicking the door. I hear him pounding on the door and crying.
"Please don't hurt me anymore!" I plead, holding onto the door handle. I feel like I'm going to be sick. I don't want to see him again. I don't want to ever see him again.
"What do you mean, it's not over?!" He demands. "How dare you run from me! How dare you leave me behind!"
"I'm sorry," I sob. I turn around and vomit all over the floor. I'm sweating profusely. My heart is racing out of control.
"Forget about me!" Cirler screams. "It's your sister who matters!"
"No!" I shout back. "She doesn't matter! Not anymore! She's gone and she's never coming back!"
"What are you talking about?!" He shouts in frustration. "You've always said that Ori would come back to me! That she'd forgive me!" His voice breaks. "That she'd love me again!"
"She did!" I whisper, unable to hold back the tears. "But she's gone!"
"Oh! Oh, my poor little Ori!" Cirler cries, kneeling down beside me. "Didn't you know? Did you think I would just let her go like that? After everything we had together? After everything we've been through?" He holds my face in his hands and looks at me intensely. "We're family, Ori! I'll always be there for you!"
"I know," I say, sniffling quietly.
