Marianne Alberin. The illegetimate child of the Count Alberin. Everyone saw her as a useless girl. A girl with no talent and no use. But no one knew of the secret she hid.
"Anne my sweet child you can't tell anyone about your powers sweetheart. Do you understand?" Noelle, Marianne's mother said as she held her daughter's hand.
Her frial body laid in the bed inside the cold and dark chamber. "Mommy please don't leave me." Marianne sniffles holding onto her mother's hand, feeling helpless as a little child. Her mother was sick but she was pushed away when she went to the Count, his father asking for help. "It is better for her to die" was the Count's answer.
"Oh sweet child don't cry. I am so sorry. Mommy is so sorry for not being able to do anything for you." Noelle says, tears falling down from her sunken eyes. "No mommy I am okay. I promise. I just need you to stay with me mommy." Marianne said a sob wrecking through her small body.
"My child... I feel so sorry for you. Sweetheart listen to me carefully. This is the only advice this useless mother can give you. I don't have much time left.." Noelle breaths out heavily. Marianne shakes her head as she cries.
"My sweet sweet child. I love you so much and I never want you to get into danger. So promise me that you won't use your power in front of this family. Promise me." Noelle says, feeling desperate. She couldn't let her child be used by people.
"I promise mommy I promise. I won't. Just don't leave me. I am scared." Marianne says, her voice shaking. "It will be fine. Marianne always believe in yourself my dear. I believe that my lovely daughter will have a great future. You have to stay strong my child even if I am not here." Noelle says patting her daughter's head with his skinny hands.
The same night Marianne loses her only family. The only person that was a family to her. Her dear mother. 13 year old Marianne who couldn't do anything as she watched her mother painfully take her last breath in the cold, dark chamber.
"Stay strong my child." were the last words her mother uttered.
