Chereads / Farming With Seven Wives in the Magic World / Chapter 19 - Rebecca's Experiment

Chapter 19 - Rebecca's Experiment

After watering the newly planted peas and scattering the bone powder, Morty came to the tree. Just as he was about to rest for a while, Rebecca came back. Her robe was tidied up, and her face was still a little red. She quickly walked to Morty with her hands on her hips.

"Hey, stinky pervert."

Morty looked up at her. "What do you want now, little lamb?"

"You!" Rebecca blushed, gritted her teeth, and protested loudly, "I'm not a little lamb!"

"Alright, alright, alright. You're an evil dragon, alright?" Morty curled his lips. "What's the matter?"

"Come and help me study the pea seeds just now."

"What's this?" Morty sat up and glared at her. "Who told you to steal my pea seeds?"

Rebecca blushed, but she quickly straightened her neck and said fiercely, "I-I stole it. So what?"

With that, she stepped forward and took Morty's hand, trying to pull him up.

"Hurry up and help me!"

Morty was extremely tired at the moment. Moreover, this girl's experiment almost blew up the house. He was not tired of living yet, so why would he help her?

"Do it yourself." Morty lay motionless on the recliner. "I want to rest."

"Rest your head!" Rebecca gritted her teeth and tugged at his hand, her face flushed red. Although mages had powerful magic power and could release all kinds of magical spells, their strength was no different from that of ordinary people. Furthermore, Rebecca was just a little girl. No matter how hard she tried, she could not pull Morty away.

Looking at the little girl's red face, Morty wanted to tease her. He suddenly leaned in her direction and immediately pulled back.

Rebecca's delicate body immediately pounced into his arms.

However, what Morty didn't expect was that this girl was so forceful that she almost flew into his arms. He only felt his vision go black, and then his lips were blocked by a soft object.

Upon closer inspection, the two of them had accidentally kissed.

Morty's eyes widened. Although this wasn't the first time they had kissed, this sudden situation still made him a little confused.

Rebecca was the same, staring at him with her big, watery eyes.

The next second, she quickly stood up and pouted. She said angrily, "Stinky pervert! Taking advantage of me again!"

Morty came back to his senses and chuckled, not taking it seriously.

Rebecca had planned to leave, but the more she thought about it, the angrier she got. She had been taken advantage of, so why couldn't she get any benefits?

No!

Rebecca turned around decisively, put her hands on her hips, and said loudly, "Get up quickly! You've already taken advantage of me. You have to come and help me today!"

"I'm not going," Morty replied lazily.

It wasn't like he hadn't kissed her before. It was as if he had made it so grand.

Rebecca gritted her teeth and raised her finger. A fireball instantly appeared, then she pointed it at Morty and said, "Are you coming. Or not?"

Feeling the scorching heat of the fireball, Morty hurriedly stood up and laughed dryly. "Yes, I'm coming"

"That's more like it," Rebecca said proudly, then turned around and gestured for Morty to follow. "Follow me."

Morty walked behind her, sighing in his heart, 'I was really muddle-headed. I almost forgot that this girl is also a person that I can't afford to provoke.'

When he followed Rebecca back to her room, he saw the big hole in the roof at first glance and couldn't help but feel a pang of heartache.

If he wanted to repair the house and hire more workers, he would probably have to spend a lot of money to repair it himself...

He sighed again. It seemed that he had to find some time to go to town to buy some materials and repair the roof himself.

"What are you waiting for?"

Rebecca's voice pulled him back to reality. It was only then that Morty noticed that the room had been filled with bottles and jars again.

"You! Where did you get these things?"

"Oh, these." Rebecca reached out her hand. Morty noticed that there was a small silver ring on her right middle finger, which was engraved with complicated patterns.

"This is called the Storage Ring. It can store items from the real world. I have a total of ten sets of such refining equipment." Rebecca proudly explained.

Storage Ring?

This was the first time that Morty had heard of this concept. His understanding of this world was still too little.

But then again…

He looked at Rebecca, who was still wearing the damaged version of the robe. After the explosion, although it had been washed clean, there was still some damage on it, and some parts of her snow-white skin were even exposed.

"Didn't you prepare one or two extra clothes?"

Rebecca was stunned when she heard that, and then she said in embarrassment, "I came out in a hurry and forgot…"

"..."

Rebecca didn't dwell on this issue. She handed him a row of purple reagents and instructed, "Pour these reagents into this large beaker from left to right."

After saying that, she ran to the side and took out the hidden pea seeds. Under Morty's unfriendly gaze, she threw them into the container filled with blue liquid.

Gurgle—

A large number of bubbles immediately appeared in the liquid, as if it was boiling.

Rebecca stared at the container seriously without blinking. Her red lips opened and closed from time to time, chanting a spell that Morty could not understand at all. At this moment, she looked like a real mage, serious and cautious.

Looking at the busy Rebecca, Morty was a little lost in thought. He didn't expect that this seemingly unreliable little girl would have such a serious side. Her eyes were filled with a strong desire to probe and a confidence that could infect anyone.

Unknowingly, Morty was a little dazed.

"Are you done? Give it to me." Rebecca's urging voice sounded. Morty came back to his senses and hurriedly mixed the liquid before handing it over.

Rebecca took the beaker and quickly threw some strange materials into it. Then, she poured them all into the container and clapped her hands. A smile appeared on her face. "Alright!"

Looking at her happy eyes, Morty couldn't help but feel a little happy. She smiled and asked, "I didn't expect you to have such a serious side."

Rebecca was stunned by the sudden praise, but she soon revealed her true nature. She raised her head and said smugly, "Of course. I'm the number one genius of the Guild of Magic!"

"Genius?" Morty was in disbelief. "The genius who blew up my house?"

Rebecca immediately wilted at the reminder. She lowered her head and looked aggrieved.

Seeing this, Morty stopped teasing her and changed the topic. "By the way, why do you want to be a mage?"

Rebecca raised her head, her big eyes filled with confusion. "Isn't it good to be a mage?"

Mages were the most awe-inspiring profession on this continent. They were existences that everyone looked up to, especially a genius like her. She was the one and only darling in the Guild of Magic. She could have anything she wanted.

"It's not that it's not good." Morty shook his head. "I just feel that it's a little... Troublesome."

From his perspective, he thought being a farmer was good enough. It was a peaceful and stable life. There was no need to study magic.

"You know nothing!" Rebecca glared at him. "My dream is to become a top powerhouse like Great Wizard Elsa!"

When she said this, her eyes were filled with desire and yearning.

Morty pursed his lips. He had never heard of Elsa. Looking at the boiling liquid in the container, he couldn't help but remind her, "Your water is boiling."

Rebecca came back to her senses, and her expression immediately became nervous.

"Ya! Quick, quick, quick, turn it—"

Before she could finish her sentence, the container exploded.

BOOM!
