Empire of Ayutthaya , Siam

Year 1699

A girl with brown hair was playing on the lawns behind the mansion; she was dancing, running, and rolling around, and her laugh was captivating. She was happy even though she was playing alone while she was catching dragonflies.

And a Thai boy approached the girl, and he took her to the garden of flowers, and they both played; they both danced and played house, and then the boy gave the girl a red rose.

The young Freen turned away when she saw it, and she didn't wait for the girl to accept the flower. Her mother saw her on the other side of the mansion while she was drawing water from the well.

"Freen, I've been looking for you everywhere; where's the water? Only one bucket was ordered, but how long did it take you to fill it? "I thought something had happened to you." Freen's mother spoke with a mixture of nervousness and confusion.

"Sorry, mother, I was just looking at something in the garden. I forgot that I was about to bring this water to the kitchen." Freen explained this to her mother while smiling at her.

"Haven't I warned you many times that we are not allowed to go to that part of the mansion?" Her mother reminded her.

"I'm sorry, mother, I heard the laughter of the child who came from heaven. I was about to offer her the flower so that she would consider my prayers and tell them to the gods." The young Freen told her mother with a wide smile on her lips.

"Child, who came from heaven?" Her mother frowned upon hearing what Freen just said.

"Yes, the child we are offering food to in the mansion. The child we are not allowed to look at and tell about. " Freen said it with honesty.

Freen's mother doesn't know about it because she was ordered to cook food only for the family and was not allowed to bring the food to the main house.

But young Freen is a very active child who likes to sneak out everywhere in the mansion. That's why she saw the girl inside the mansion, where the food that she and her mother had cooked was being served.

"How could there be a child in here?" Her mother thought, but eventually remembered the rumors in the empire about the forbidden seed of a foreigner. This might be the hidden family of the forbidden relationship between a noblewoman and a white man from another country.

But Freen's face suddenly crumpled as she remembered the boy approaching the girl earlier. She didn't know, but she was annoyed with that boy for playing with the girl.

Young Freen's mother got down on her knees to match Freen's height and gestured for her to look at her; Freen obliged.

"Freen my daughter, have you talked about this to anyone?" her mother asked seriously.

''No.  Mother, I didn't—it was just you.'' Freen answered with honesty.

''Thank god. ''   Her mother said in relief. They might get into trouble if this thing gets out.

"Promise me, you won't tell anyone about this." Her mother was serious about it. And the young Freen cutely nodded her head.

"And you would never go back there." Her mother added that, which made Freen frown.

''But mother I -''

"That's an order. If you won't obey, I will not bring you here again and leave you with your grandma on the island." Her mother threatened her.

Freen didn't want to stay on the island; she wanted to be with her mother. She was enjoying her life in the mansion, so she just looked down and nodded her head.

meanwhile..

The girl with brown hair noticed something dropped near the tree in the garden of flowers. She immediately ran towards the tree, where she saw the girl who always leaves crown flowers beside the tree.

The girl with long black hair was walking fast away from the place, as she always does every time she notices her presence.

"What is it?" The boy followed her there and asked her with confusion, but the girl just looked at the boy, not understanding what he was saying, and she hated him for coming here so early. He scared the black-haired girl, she thought.

''Its your fault , now I didn't able to see her face.'' She said to boy pouting with cross arms .

''Who was that?''   The Thai boy asks, pointing in the direction where the black-haired girl goes.

"It is none of your business." The girl answered angrily, understanding what the boy was asking by his action, and she grabbed the crown flowers on the ground that made the boy angry and grabbed it from her hold.

'' No.   Why did you do that? The girl cried when the boy put the crown flowers on the ground, stepped on them, and kicked them away like trash.

"You don't need those; mine is more expensive and beautiful." He said he was giving her the flower he had given her earlier. The girl didn't mind what he was saying and was just looking at the flower that the boy had ruined.

''You are bad!!''  The girl cried more, and she pushed the boy away from her, which made the boy fall to the ground.

She punched and slapped him a few times before she grabbed his flowers and threw them away.

"You are bad; I don't need your flowers; you ruined my friend's gift." She told him before she left the boy alone in that tree in the middle of the garden of flowers.

"Becky, I am sorry. Don't be mad at me," the boy shouted.

Becky didn't look back and continued walking away from the boy.

The next morning, like she always does, she again ran in the hallways of the mansion.

"Rebecca, where are you going again?" "You know you are not allowed to get out of the mansion." The court lady ask her worried.

"I promise no one will see me. Like always, I am just going to play in the garden, and I will be back before mother and father notice." Becky was smiling at her governess while saying it. The court lady was just standing beside the governess, not understanding what the child just said because Rebecca spoke in her language; she was raised in England, which is why the child doesn't know how to speak in her mother's language.

The English governess just nodded, and again she followed the child to the garden; it was going to be their last month of vacation here in Thailand anyway.

The girl was visiting her mother with her father, and as she was a forbidden seed of a foreigner to a noblewoman, it was a real heartbreaking truth that the child wouldn't understand at the moment.

In the two months that they stayed here, she has seen how lonely it is for the child to just stay inside and be left alone in this big mansion. The couple is fighting for their relationship in court to give the child a normal life in the future.

The father of the child is a British merchant who fell in love with a noblewoman who was supposedly lined up to marry a royal, but fate has other plans. The noblewoman and the Englishman fell in love with each other, and the noblewoman got pregnant, so she ran away from the palace and went with the merchant. and the rest is history.

Rebecca happily ran towards the garden to check if the black-haired girl had already left a gift, but her face turned sad when she saw nothing in there. But she didn't lose hope; she played there for a while, dancing, rolling, and running for a few minutes, thinking she was just too early to come in.

But the sun was starting to burn her porcelain skin, and it was probably near lunchtime, so she had to go back; her parents might notice her skin turning red, and her governess was already calling her to go back.

She turned her head one more time and checked around her. "Maybe it's just hiding in the trees or maybe in the grass. I need to be sure," she said to herself.

''Rebecca, we need to go back in the house now.'' Her governess tap her shoulder. Rebecca nodded and looked down feeling upset.

She really wanted to be friends with the girl, but it seems like the girl was very shy. That's why she just settles in and watches her. It makes her happy to see the girl every morning visiting her and offering her flowers; she feels so special and appreciated.

The governess, who is a witness to Rebecca's glow when the girl started giving her the crown flowers, felt sad for Rebecca. So she kneeled down and held Rebecca's hands and looked at her in the eyes.

"My lady, do not be upset. The girl must only have important things to do. We will go back here tomorrow, okay? " Rebecca nodded, and they returned to the mansion.

Rebecca has gone to the garden almost every day for almost a month, but the girl hasn't come back. The child didn't give up and still continues to go back there. She sometimes talks, pretending the black-haired girl was just hiding and watching her from afar. She even collects flowers, which she would lay beside the tree whenever she was about to go back into the mansion.

Until the day comes that Rebecca and her family have to go back to England to live there for good, She was so sad at the time that it was really tiring for her not to have to live in one place. And she wouldn't have a chance to see the girl again, but she has no power to say anything because she is just a child.

She again went to the fields and into the garden. She was crying because she didn't want to go anymore, but she couldn't tell her parents that. She remained silent, listening to their conversation outside their room.

She didn't notice that she had fallen asleep under the tree while crying, and she was feeling a warm hand caressing her face that seemed to be wiping her cheeks. She held the hand that was in her face, the hand made stiff by what she did.

Rebecca opened her eyes and met with the most beautiful eyes that she had ever seen. The face of the girl was immaculate, as the orange sunset rays were lighting the face of an innocent-looking girl.

The young Freen was mesmerized by the blue-gray iris of Becky's eyes. For her, it was like the sky was inside Rebecca's eyes; they were the most divine eyes she has ever seen in her whole life.

''Child from heaven.''

''Beautiful.''

They said it at the same time.

''Rebecca!''

''Rebecca!''

They both stood when they heard voices coming their way and looked where the voices were coming.

The young Freen freaked out, thinking she was going to be caught, so she immediately pulled her hand from Becky's hold.

Becky was stunned by what Freen did and just watched as the older girl ran away from the place, but young Rebecca's lips formed a smile when she finally met the girl.

While looking down, she noticed another crown flower beside her. What more could she ask to be this happy this day? She grabbed the crown flower and held it in her chest, looking up to the sky and thanking God for answering her prayers by allowing her to finally meet the girl.

The star that was just starting to show up blinks at her direction like it was celebrating her happiness.

''Rebecca!''

" Rebecca''

Her parents were now running in her direction and immediately embraced her.

Year 1717

A modern French house somewhere in Siam was bought by the Armstrong family when they got the chance to comeback and live here again.

A welcoming celebration was being held for the visit of the British Prime Minister's family to one of the noble families' mansions.

And they are also preparing for the comeback of the only daughter of the Armstrong family.

Rebecca Armstrong, who has been living with her dad's family side ever since, has become an issue because of the earlier time that a British merchant had made a noble woman impregnated. It is against the law for a member of a noble family in that era to have a relationship with a foreigner; if that happens, you will be excluded from being a noble.

But as time passed and with the influence of her father and the family of her mother, the couple overcame it all and were finally able to legalize their relationship.

Everyone was busy in this big mansion; every servant of the house had their tasks, and that included Freen and her family; they were ordered to serve the family by her mothers clan.

Freen was assigned to help her mother prepare the food for the table and serve the visitors.

As the Prime Minister and his family started to get off the wagon, The servants lined up at the mansion's grand entrance to welcome the Prime Minister and his family.

The Prime Minister and his wife walked inside the mansion, and they were greeted by the servants in respect of their arrival. The man who followed them behind was the Prime Minister's son, and everyone greeted him too.

And another wagon came, and they all waited for the passenger to come out, and the driver of the wagon got down and opened the door; he helped the lady get down the wagon.

They were all eager to see the Armstrong's daughter, but they could only see her black gloves and her red Victorian gown because the driver of the wagon was blocking the view.

The moment the lady got down from the wagon, Freen's face went pale, and her world literally stopped.

"The child who came from heaven"
