Bullets hit him, but nothing happened to him. It started to rain heavily and thunder ensured shortly after. d'Esperey stood in front of him, he too feeling a pinch of immortality. As the thunder and lightning struck, the both of them came to blows between each other. They flung each other over 100 meters away and there was an account that someone saw Scholtz fly. The both survived however, but the war would take a hit.
