Chapter 7 - 1967 AD

"Every time I meet you, I become a part of you," said Sergey. What? asked Jack. Not you old man, he said in a ever so thick Russian accent. I'am writing a letter to my love, he said as he drank a shot of vodka in the craft. Here, he said and offered him one. Jack politely refused. Jack got up. How many times do I tell you? I have no idea what they were up to, 20'years ago, he said. It is a matter of threat and intelligence, said Sergey as he kept the glass down. Jack was then used to this kind of treatment by then. Where is Romanov? he asked him. None of you business, replied Sergey. He is the one who usually questions me, said Jack now asking for his drink. We know you hide something, said Sergey. Don't we all? asked Jack as he drank his vodka. How far away are we from Moscow? he asked. Sergey kept quiet. He sat back in the craft and listened to Russian opera. Jack sat opposite him and pretended to like the music. Sergey took his gun out and put it in the bench he sat on. He then lit his cigarette and pointed the gun at Jack. Then-young Sergey was brash and gutsy. Jack on the other hand had seen a thousand guns pointed at him. He took out his cigar and lit it as well! He pointed his finger at Sergey and made it look like a gun. He made a sound of a firing bullet with his hand. Sergey actually got scared. He at once threw the gun at Jack. Jack caught it and looked at the make. We need you to kill someone, said Sergey. Who? asked Jack. A scientist, replied Sergey.

Jack had brought a ranch where he bred horses. But that was just a facade. He had actually become an arms dealer. Dealing mostly with colts, revolvers and rifles. There was also a shooting range in the midst of the range. He had sharpened his shooting really well that he would soon become an assassin. Travelling the world and killing important people for a lot of money.

Hello Mushimoto San, he greeted. Hello Jack San, the samurai greeted back. Do you have the guns for me? he asked. Yes, he said. The three thousand guns you have asked are all ready for you. He took him to the warehouse where the guns were housed and showed him around. The whole place smelt of gunpowder. The samurai sighed, a stark contrast to the smell of the sword he had always wielded. Times change, he said as he laughed. For the good, said Jack. Is your plane ready, asked Jack. Yes, the samurai replied. Jack knew better not to poke his nose into the matters of the Samurai. So he did not ask any questions. He took the money and a few days later loaded the shipment

Shoot straight Jack, said the colonel. I'am doing my best, replied Jack. They were practising shooting with beer cans. Do better, shouted the colonel. I'am , said Jack and shot at the cans once again. Yet again, he missed the shot. The colonel was disappointed and walked back to his tent. "How far we have come in the war is a bloody miracle," he uttered. Jack kept practising and the bullets were being wasted along with his time. He sighed and thought of Phil. He covered him when he was in danger. When Jack shot sideways, Phil hit the man's heart. He too walked back to the camp he was housed in.

"Run, run" said Jack as they were ambushed by the enemy. He along with his troop ran away in the rain as bullets flew across them. Crossing trip wires and puddles alike. They ran with the lightning and thunder striking everywhere around them. It was the bloodiest and stormiest night yet during the war. Tanks looked like monsters as they tried to fire bullets. Dodge, said Jack as a tanks bullet flew above them. Jack turned back and he shot many times and missed every single time. "The rain" he uttered trying to pacify himself after all the miscued shots. Sergeant came running a soldier to Jack. There is a huge storm coming our side, he said. As they were approaching the harbour. There were planes flying above the seas and men were dropping down like flies. "How did we get such a storm in such a short time," Jack asked the soldier. I don't know sir, the soldier replied wiping the water of his face and opening the map. The map was getting torn apart. We need to get here, said Jack and pointing at the location. As he put his finger on the map, the map flew away getting crumbled in the rain. The thunderstorm grew heavy and the lightning grew heavier.

The rains poured down bringing the skies along with it. What on Archimedea, is happening? asked the father. Zeno stood outside the house getting drenched in the rain as lightning stuck the ground every second. What is wrong with the night? asked Zeno. His claws were sharpening and hair started to form on his face. The rains continued as there was no sound of the babies noise. Why is it taking so long? he asked in a half human/half werewolf voice. His father was scared more of Zeno than anything else now. The lightning then struck the barn where the horses were housed. The barn caught fire and the horses ran in the rain, with lightning swirling around them. The horses now circled around the house and the lightning struck the top of the house.

Just then…

A baby was born. Zeno returned to his human form and they ran into the house!
