The next morning, the three boys were up early and ready for their first day of physical training.
They were led to a large gymnasium where they were given a quick tour of the facilities before beginning their training.
The first exercise was a simple warm-up, jogging around the gymnasium for ten minutes.
They then moved on to some stretches and bodyweight exercises like push-ups, sit-ups, and squats.
After that, they were divided into groups and given different exercises to complete.
Ace was paired with a group doing boxing exercises, while Luke was paired with a group practicing martial arts, and James was paired with a group using punching machines.
Ace was handed a pair of boxing gloves anwas instructed to hit the punching bag as hard as he could. He put on the gloves and started hitting the bag, but quickly found that he didn't have much power behind his punches.
He struggled to keep up with the rest of the group, who were all hitting the bag much harder than he was.
Meanwhile, Luke was learning some basic martial arts moves, such as kicks and punches.
He was paired with a girl who seemed to have had some experience before, as she was able to execute the moves much more fluidly than he was.
Luke felt a bit self- conscious, but he tried his best to keep up.
James was having a blast using the punching machine.
He had to hit the machine with as much force as he could, and the machine would display his power in numbers.
James was surprised to see thathe was actually quite good at it, and he quickly became competitive with the other members of his group.
After an hour of training, they were all called back together for a final challenge.
They had to complete an obstacle course that included running, jumping, climbing, and crawling.
The course was designed to test their endurance, speed, and agility.
Ace struggled with the course, his lack of physical strength and stamina was evident.
He had trouble climbing over walls and running long distances.
He was relieved when he finally crossed the finish line, exhausted but happy to have completed the course.
Luke found the obstacle course challenging but manageable.
He had always beennaturally athletic and found himself keeping up with the others in his group.
James was in his element during the obstacle course.
He had always loved physical challenges and was able to complete the course with ease, finishing ahead of many of the other students.
At the end of the day, they were all given their physical assessment results.
Ace received an F, Luke received an E, and James received a C.
Ace was disappointed in his grade but vowed to work harder and improve his physical fitness.
Luke was content with his grade but hoped to do better in the future.
James was thrilled with his grade and couldn't wait to see what other physical challenges lay ahead.
As they finished their last exercise, Ace's two roommates, James and Luke, panted heavily as they leaned against the wall, trying to catch their breath.
Ace, on the other hand, stood up straight, his chest heaving as he looked around the room.
"Man, that was intense," James said, wiping the sweat from his forehead.
"I can't believe we made it through all of that."
Luke nodded in agreement.
"Yeah, I'm beat," he said, taking a long swig from his water bottle.
"But it was worth it. I feel like I could take on anything now."
Ace smiled as he listened to his roommates.
He knew he had an advantage over them, thanks to the dark angel system.
But he didn't want to reveal his abilities just yet. He decided to keep them a secret, at least for now.
As they caught their breath, James turned to Ace.
"Hey, man," he said, "what kind of abilities do you have?"
Ace hesitated for a moment before replying. "Nothing special," he said, shrugging. "I'm just good at staying focused, that's all."
Luke raised an eyebrow. "Really?" he said.
"I mean, you were crushing those punching machines earlier.
I've never seen anyone hit them that hard before."
Ace chuckled. "I guess I just have good form," he said, trying to downplay his abilities.
James and Luke exchanged a glance, but didn't press the issue.
Instead, they continued to chat and joke around as they headed back to their room.
The next day, they received their rankings for the physical activities they had completed.
To their surprise, Ace had received an F rank, while Luke and James had earned E and C ranks, respectively.
Ace felt a twinge of disappointment, but he reminded himself that he had an advantage that the others didn't know about.
He resolved to continue working hard and improving his physical abilities, even as he kept his secret abilities to himself.
