Chapter 4 - Dark elves or my father...?

Desdemona was in long trance. For a second she couldn't move due to fear and another second; she was in between a war ground.

Her body aches all over and her stupefied expression still plaster on her face.

The strong thwack from the creature rip the carriage apart. The great tumble cause her body acute pain: she felt she couldn't move at all.

_' Help.'_

Desmond could hear swords clashing and energetic screams of bloodlost excitement.

Her hope raise.

_' So no one had notice her?'_ it was odd how calm she sounded despise the glossodynia as she bite herself hard.

Desmond could remember anytime: she got hit or got beaten all over by the maids or her father.

She would bite herself and then read a book.

That was the only method she could use to heal herself. Nobody, needed to call a healer as they had never really called one.

_Yet_ it was odd despite the sharp metallic taste in her mouth or how deeper her teeth sank into her tongue; the pain wouldn't go away.

Instead in hurt more. Desmond tried to move; causing a sharp pain that made her stiff and body trembling.

_It hurts._ Her head tilt upward with much struggle causing her to let's out a low moan of pain. Sweat running her palms.

She broke something.

Desmond crawled like an army in training. Her forehand grip the ground trying to pull herself forward, she didn't care her white wed gown was completely ruined.

She really didn't notice she was wearing one at the beginning.

"Aah... arg!"

She bite her lips this time, fearing not to bite of her wounded tongue. Desmond looked up.

Her face was smear with blood. Desmond couldn't think. Her widen teary eyes stared unblinking at the widen eyes of the head that flee her direction.

Her stomach scrunch.

_' A dark elf?!'_ or my father men?

Desmond couldn't struggled to move. The motion of moving for help in a bloody place seem to be already deprivation effort.

_' Was all this the humans doings?'_" She felt chill down her spine.

_'Or was this his doing? He wanted to get rip of her and the elves escorting her?!'_

Desmond gulps.

Humans were really demons. And one of them was her husband; who her father marry her off to twelve years ago.

Desmond didn't feel too well; she married a demon who couldn't even wait for a brief moment... But already wanted to kill her already.

' Will he drink her blood?'

' Eat her flesh?'

' Sell her eyes?'

Desmond wasn't a saint nor and evil person. She wanted to escape and run far away–with her books.

Were she could read with no worries, yet, the taut of elves dying for her and yet she's running away. It troubles her.

She didn't want to end up like this elf. The intensity of blood and death in the air seem to belong to the elves.

She have never been to war before or a duel._ yet_ with the help of the book; she knows.

Desmond couldn't keep in her fruitless thoughts. The urge to see any book and read it already_ was killing her more that the pain she felt.

The air around her seem to change. It becomes dim and the emit air of rottenness cause her stomach to scrunch harder, she was to throw up badly.

Her neck tilt sideways and she frozen. It was the creature.

_ This time _ she could have a better look at it.

It's huge brown body that emit of purplish acidic liquid, countless legs that ...The more she stared at the creature, the more difficult to explain it.

It body seem to evolve in weak purple flames that didn't seem to hurt it.

"S-Sti-stinky...squid?!" Her speaking caused her to feel more painful but Desmond didn't care.

_Stinky squid_ she had read about this creature. They weren't cute but rounded creature that could spilt themselves releasing countless threads like arms with sharp ends.

They were always ill-smelly and are always brown in color.

Desmond was puzzle enough not to shiver.

The stinky-squid was always found at the east-north areas, and are usually very little and nor eatable: for hunters to bother wasting time on them

Yet this one in front of her was strange.

Desmond thought of all the little definition she knew about the creature; completely ignoring that she was in danger.

Her eyes could see the countless melted bodies that stink to it's body and the acidic liquid it release; burning away green grasses to dust and she could be one of them soon.

A unknown creature and about to be death elf stared at each other. The unease feeling arose.

" Aaaahhhhhhhh...!"

Their was slience followed by a ray of sword light and whoosh of heavy wind.

No blood.

"Ravenelii." _ A spirit beast_

Those sharp blue eyes narrowed through the fading purple flames. Rai said it's name through gnashing teeth's.

Few minutes ago: he asked her and quest her to dance. To dance the exotic dance a wedded bride would dance to her husband before mating.

He wanted to crush her pride and her words twelve years ago.

" General...! We till couldn't find- Miss?!"

Rai didn't an-knowledge his men that rode their horses towards his huge fierce figure.

" General!" His men droop from their horse and half-kneel with cold sweat on each of their back.

Rai didn't turn to face them. His eyes held mix feelings staring at the pale skinny and frail looking woman that he held carefully.

The sun shone on his sliver metal hands.

Like he feared she would break and fade away.

" Grey... Investigate."
