Chapter 29 - Defying Slavery: Kazuki's Brave Stand in Aradon

As Kazuki and his harem entered the bustling city of Aradon, they couldn't help but be amazed by the beauty that surrounded them. The architecture was a stunning blend of desert and oasis, with palm trees swaying in the gentle breeze and colorful buildings rising up to the sky. The city walls were tall and imposing, with guards standing watch at the gates.

As they wandered through the busy streets, they noticed a commotion near the marketplace. Curious, they made their way over to see what was happening. There, they saw a slave merchant selling off slaves to the highest bidder.

Kazuki approached the merchant, feeling a sense of anger and disgust in the pit of his stomach. The merchant sneered at him, eyeing him up and down. "What do you want?" he spat out. "I am here to put a stop to this," Kazuki said, his voice firm and unwavering. "These people are not property to be bought and sold. Release them at once." The merchant laughed cruelly. "And what makes you think you have any authority to tell me what to do?" Kazuki drew his sword, his eyes flashing with fury. "I don't need authority to do what is right," he said.

As the guards approached Kazuki and his harem, they knew they were in trouble. Kazuki could feel Rei's anger rising as she scolded him for causing trouble. Princess Akane, on the other hand, calmly explained the situation to the guards and told Kazuki not to resist.

The guards took them to the city's prison, where they were locked up. Kazuki was frustrated and angry, but he knew that he had to keep his cool. He didn't want to make things worse for himself and his harem.

As they sat in their cells, Rei began to soften up towards Kazuki. "I may not agree with everything you do, Kazuki," she said, "but I have to admit that what you did back there was heroic."

Princess Akane nodded in agreement. "I don't completely agree with the slave trade either," she said, "but we have to be careful not to cause trouble. We don't want to create enemies in a new kingdom."

Kazuki nodded, realizing that they had a point. He promised to be more careful in the future, but he couldn't shake the feeling that he needed to do something to stop the slave trade.

The next day, they were released from prison after they showed the letter to the guards and allowed to continue their mission to seek help from the kingdom of Aradon.

Despite the setback, Kazuki and his harem were determined to continue their mission. They entered the city of Aradon, taking in the sights and sounds of the bustling capital. The streets were lined with vendors selling exotic goods from all over the world, while musicians and performers entertained the crowds.

Princess Akane led the group towards the palace, hoping to gain an audience with the king. As they walked, they passed by a grand market, where they saw slaves being sold once again. Kazuki clenched his fists, feeling a surge of anger and frustration. But this time, he held back, knowing that he couldn't risk causing more trouble.

They eventually arrived at the palace gates, which were guarded by a small army of soldiers. The guards eyed them suspiciously, but Princess Akane presented the letter from her father, and they were allowed to enter.

Inside, they were awed by the grandeur of the palace. The walls were adorned with intricate tapestries and paintings, and the halls were filled with priceless treasures and works of art. They were greeted by a steward, who led them to a waiting room while he went to inform the king of their arrival.

As they waited, Rei turned to Kazuki and scolded him for causing trouble in the city. Kazuki hung his head in shame, but Princess Akane intervened, saying that Kazuki's actions were admirable and showed his sense of justice. Mia nodded in agreement, and Rei's expression softened.

Finally, the steward returned and informed them that the king would see them. They were led to a grand throne room, where the king sat on his throne, surrounded by his courtiers and advisors. The king listened to their tale of the darkness that threatened their land, and he promised to send aid in the form of troops and supplies.

Kazuki and his harem breathed a sigh of relief, feeling that they had accomplished their mission. As they left the palace, they couldn't help but feel amazed at the beauty and grandeur of the kingdom of Aradon. They knew that there was still much to do in order to save their land, but they felt renewed with hope and determination.
