As they approached the towering building, Daishi couldn't help but exclaim, "This place is immense!" The structure loomed nearly 100 feet high, a testament to its importance.
Kavato nodded in agreement. "Indeed, it's the central hub for walkers and magic materials in the entire country. This is where you'll find the elusive rank-S and SS quests."
After completing the necessary formalities, they entered the grand establishment. Kiyoshi couldn't contain his awe. "Wow, this place is massive. the highest quest rank is A in the quests board in the bar. The reward for an SS rank quest is a staggering 500 gold coins."
Kavato added insightfully, "That's just the monetary reward for monster hunting. The materials they gather can fetch a hefty price, sometimes up to 500 gold coins."
Sakura, keenly observing her surroundings, remarked, "The power emanating from these adventurers is palpable. Some are so formidable, I can hardly sense them."
Kavato cautioned her, "These are the strongest of the strong. Many of them can mask their presence, likely S-rank or higher. Sakura, let's make our way to the MMM section. Avoid prolonged stares; it could be fatal."
They navigated through the M.M.M. area, diligently scrutinizing equipment for safety and efficacy. Once approved, they proceeded to the new magic and material registration centre, an office where a witch lay napping.
Kavato gently roused her, and the witch, bleary-eyed, inquired, "Why are you here again?"
Daishi, eager to share, chimed in, "I've come to register my groundbreaking device, The third eye."
Kavato explained their purpose, "We're here to register our magic items."
Fumi, the attending witch, expressed mild surprise, "Two items in one day? It's been two or three years since that last happened."
Kiyoshi was taken aback, "That long?"
Fumi clarified, "Now, let's see your magic item and guild card."
Sakura interjected, "Do you have a guild card?"
Daishi confirmed, "Yes, I have a blacksmith guild card."
Kiyoshi nodded in understanding. "That makes sense."
With precision, Fumi scanned their items, identifying their unique magical frequencies and registering them.
In this world, magic-infused every living being and inanimate object. It was an intricate blend of demonic, natural, holy, and necrotic or dark magic. Each person's magic signature was unique, determined by their innate disposition. Demonic magic was wielded by monsters, while dark magic remained dangerous and forbidden. Nature contributed its magic to trees and stones, with elves possessing an abundance of natural magic. Holy magic found its purpose in healing spells. Magic was intrinsic to everything, with an adventurer's MP representing their surplus magic, derived from body and soul. In contrast, common folk had just enough magic for vital bodily functions. A rare few had meagre magic, relegated to F or G ranks, unable to progress further. Their spells were limited to household chores, rendering them ineffective in combat.
As they conducted their business, Mahori, a striking witch wearing a purple coat and black dress, her hair was black, her eye colour was purple her chest was huge about like an f cup or something., made a dramatic entrance. Her attire exuded an air of mystery, and her presence commanded attention. She greeted Fumi warmly, hinting at an established acquaintance.
Fumi introduced the newcomers, piquing Mahori's interest. She whispered something to herself, her gaze lingering on Kiyoshi.
Fumi prodded, "Why are you here?"
Mahori, momentarily distracted, confessed, "Oh, I forgot, why am I here again?"
Kiyoshi, keeping his voice low, cautioned, "Be discreet, Daishi. Call me just Kiyoshi, all right?"
Daishi obliged, "Of course, Master Kiyoshi."
Mahori swiftly remembered their purpose, revealing a quest opportunity. She invited Kiyoshi to join her, extending the offer to the whole group, including the alchemy master, Fumi suggested.
Mahori extended the proposal, "How about it? The quest is in Heraki, just for a day, and the price is 10 gold coins, 2 coins each. What do you say?"
Kiyoshi readily agreed, prompting Sakura's concern. "But Kiyoshi, we're already on a quest."
Daishi chimed in, expressing eagerness to learn from Kiyoshi once they returned home.
Kiyoshi reassured them, "It's just for a day, there won't be a problem. I'm in."
Kavato voiced no objections. "Count me in as well."
Mahori, "OK then Kiyoshi meet me at the town bar at night around 12:00 am and get more information about the quest and come there along goodbye"
Sakura in mind, "Kiyoshi is not like that and what with that witch is Kiyoshi getting a crash on her or something, no way. why did he have to go along to the bar with that creepy witch? who will I sleep with tonight? I am still scared to sleep alone. (just Sakura's ego problems.)'
In the midst of their business, Kavato secured his alchemy master card, marking another successful step in their journey. As the day waned, Kiyoshi suggested a meal to sate their appetites.
Daishi's enthusiasm was palpable. "I'm famished and eager to explore the culinary delights from across the country."
Kavato, familiar with the town's offerings, led the way. Kiyoshi turned to Sakura, inviting her to join.
Sakura hesitated, her mind a whirlwind of conflicting thoughts.
Finally, she relented. " I am coming"
They spent the afternoon exploring the vibrant town, soaking in its unique charm until dusk settled in. With the evening approaching, they found a comfortable hotel to rest.
Inside, Daishi questioned the room arrangement. "We've got two rooms, right?"
Daishi turned to Kiyoshi with a playful tease, "So, Kiyoshi and Sakura sharing a room, huh? Are you two dating?"
Kiyoshi stammered, taken aback. "Uh..."
Sakura quickly interjected, rolling her eyes. "No, it's just that Kiyoshi is afraid of the dark. Who could possibly fall for him anyway, right Kiyoshi?"
Kiyoshi chuckled, though a tinge of sadness flickered in his eyes at Sakura's words.
Daishi joined the laughter, acknowledging, "I see."
As the hours passed, midnight approached. Kiyoshi bid them farewell,
Kiyoshi left for the bar. He was on the way to the bar when someone with a black coat covering their face was following him and sneaking behind him. He reached the bar. The MAHORI was drunk and her black coat was on the table and her b**bs were open on the top.
She called him near and made him sit by her and said, "Have some. This is the best they got and the best girl to feed you too."
The bartender asked, "You got a young one tonight."
MAHORI said, "he is special."
Kiyoshi, "I don't drink"
She moved her finger around his face and said just one sip?
Kiyoshi, "OK, but only some."
He drinks some. Mahori lifts her leg to the chair where Kiyshi is sitting showing 4/3 of her long hot legs With a playful sway of her legs. And whispers something. Mahori stood up from there and held him when she tended to fall because she was drinking too much and said: "Then will you take me to my room? I was so powerless, if you help me I will give you a good massage."
Kiyoshi, still in a daze, agreed, "All right, I'll take you there."
Mahori moved her finger to his lips and said there is some drink on your lips let me taste it
She was here was following Kiyoshi, it was Sakura.
Sakura's tember is at its boiling point.
Sakura shouted, "Stop right there and what were you whispering to him?"
Mahori said surprised, "I didn't know you were here, it was just a mind-controlling spell."
Sakura, "You bit*h, what have you done to him?"
Mahori:" Why are you concerned? It's not like you are that close to him and he didn't say that he didn't want it. I was having some fun. I was not going to harm him or anything but he had some strong will. The spell will only last one minute."
Sakura said in anger, "We are going."
MAHORI, "Meet me here tomorrow morning."
Kiyoshi lost his mind by drinking that drink that she gave him. He couldn't walk and he was senseless but he was speaking about something.
Sakura got him on her back and walked through the street where only a few were walking. The golden street was showing them the way. It was cold and the fog was released when Sakura exhaled. Kiyoshi hugged her tight with a smile.
Sakura smiled and said, "Why are you so dumb?"
Sakura in mind, "This is embarrassing to piggyback him, but this is kind of cute." Kiyoshi, "Hey Sakura you know what I love you. I will work hard to surpass you and I will protect you. been getting protected by you. It feels like I am useless. I will never let you get hurt."
"Shut up you idiot, you know, I love you too. I work hard to protect you because if I get hurt I know you will heal me even if you cost your life but if you get hurt who will heal you idiot so I have to protect you."
Sakura said in full red with embarrassment and happiness.
Kiyoshi, "I will never let you hurt."
Sakura, "I will never let you hurt too."
Kiyoshi said, "After we get married I will build a palace for us and we will have 1,2.two children then we will have grandchildren wait what we will name our child it will be a girl or a boy I need one cute little princess and a strong boy."
Sakura: "Hey, stop where are you going?"
Long back there was a Periscope coming out of a bush.
That night Sakura sleeps hugging Kiyoshi.
(morning)
Sakura gets a little blush: "Good morning, Kiyoshi. did you remember anything from last night?"
Kiyoshi: "No, not a thing and my head is hearing like hell. What happened? I only remember I drank the thing that Mahori gave me."
Sakura: "Really?"
Kiyoshi, "Did anything happen?"
Sakura made a sad face, "No, not a thing"
Daishi who was peeking through the keyhole thought: "You are such an idiot master."
