Throughout the day, Daisy avoided Edward at all costs. She reasoned that it would be better to remain alone than to be teased. She gathered her bags and made her way out of the building toward the bus stop. A girl from her class caught her as she was headed toward her stop.
Daisy, where are you going? Our class is at the playground, where section 2 and our class are playing football. She took Daisy's hand and said, "Let's go," while gazing affectionately in her direction.
Daisy, on the other hand, was unable to refuse her offer due to her politeness and the attractive way her classmate approached her.
She went to the school playground while grinning at her classmate and was met there by other students, among them "Edward Leo," who was sitting in a corner remote from the other students. Girls were observing him while whispering in his ear.
Suspiciously
Edward, though, doesn't appear to care about it. The girl who drove Daisy here sat next to her. And then considered saying hello,
Daisy attempted to break the awkward quiet by saying, "Um, hey, I'm Daisy," but the blonde in front of her chuckled and said, "Oh, I know you Daisy, we are classmates, myself Anna David." Daisy blushed a little, massaged the back of her head, and nodded to Anna.
Since you are here alone, you probably won't recognise me or anyone else, but that is totally fine.
As Daisy confidently smiled at Anna and murmured, "Thanks Anna, it was a relief," Anna continued.
Both girls laughed together, attracting the attention of the other students present, including him. He appears fascinated by Daisy's smile and the slight blush that is spreading across her face, which gives him the chills.
Then comes the moment when their eyes lock, causing both of them to grow agitated and turn to the side to slow their heartbeats.
Daisy's point of view: "God!!!! He was looking at me, and I was laughing uncontrollably. He would now have another target to pick on me. Why was it me? Oh no, my heart is about to burst. Please!!"
Edward's point of view: "God!!! She will consider me to be creepy or something similar who will find a new way to mock her. Why is it me? Thank you, God. Please!!"
"Goal!!"
When Section 1 scored the game's first goal, which had only been underway for about 10 minutes, all of the students' attention was once again focused on the game. However, Daisy caught Edward's attention as she considered ideas and wanted to apologise to him.
Edward made the decision to put on headphones and search YouTube and Google for instructions. (Please notice that Edward is here posing as the author's soul.)
Daisy, who was throwing Edward strange freak looks as he ignored the match and used his phone, was now completely engrossed in the action, which was likely to become equally competitive on both sides. She appeared to receive a text message, but she was occupied with the game at the time and was about to be struck in the face by a ball.
Daisy covered her face with her arms and closed her eyes, but the ball never struck her. She could only make out the gasps of everyone. She gently opened her eyes, lowering her arms as she did so. The one and only Edward Leo, who was holding the ball and keeping an eye on Daisy to make sure she was alright, caught her attention.
Edward received a simple nod from her and, after acknowledging her, returned the ball to the teammates while yelling,
"Play responsibly, as there are other people around." and then they departed from there as everyone oohed and ahhed over Daisy, who was preoccupied with spotting Edward's fading figure that turned around once he reached the school gate, and Daisy was positive she saw a smile on his face.
Daisy made her way to her seat from where she was in the crowd, but her attention was firmly fixed on Edward. She was astounded by Edward and his quick reactions. Section 1 had won the game at this point. It was three in the afternoon. Daisy boarded the bus and arrived at her home exhausted. She reached for her phone on the nightstand after getting dressed and freshened up. Her eyes widened in shock as her phone began to buzz with texts. Numerous texts were sent, but only the first one from "Edward Leo" attracted her attention.
"Daisy, I'm sorry, I'm sorry for my earlier behaviour; I was just angry and snapped at you. I know it's stupid to text you while sitting directly behind you, but I couldn't help myself. Daisy Rose, I apologise deeply. Please pardon me."
At 1:15 p.m. The text Daisy received was sent before the football event, and she also received texts about "Swagger Edward Leo" from her peers, the school community, and Anna. Daisy decided to text Edward despite the fact that it was too late and the message had already been sent four hours prior. Although she was shocked that Edward hadn't apologised to her face, she was touched that he had texted her an apology.
Embarrassed?
"Oh, Hi Edward, it's alright now, I forgive you."
She sent a message, but felt like there should be more, so she typed,
"And rather of taking your anger out on someone else, you should discuss the source of your annoyance.."
When she noticed the blue ticks on her previous text, indicating that Edward had read and begun it, she was about to send the text.
Typing!
She sent her other text right away, and at the same instant, a text from Edward came.
"Well, that's great, so we are friendly now??"
Daisy typed, "Yeah, we are," while grinning to herself.
She assumed Edward was upset about the text because he hadn't responded to her earlier text, and he responded,
"I didn't mean to say anything, so disregard this; you are free to act anyway you like."
"Actually... You are correct Daisy, I should have followed your advice, Edward said in response." Daisy was definitely not in a normal state, yet the message seemed calm and natural. In wonder and elation, she was flying at a high enough altitude.
She responded after performing a happy dance for about two minutes while pounding her bedside with her feet.
"Yeah. "
"When do you want to start the project, then?"
"What project?" Daisy felt perplexed.
"Yes, the project that we were given today. Do you not recall?"
"I see that one, I want to work alone 0on it, but it's okay."
"And yet, why is that?"
"I just.. "
"You feel uneasy and fear that I'll make fun of you because I think of you as a drama queen, which is completely false as I made clear earlier. I'm sorry"
How could Edward share Daisy's sentiments? How could he draw attention to the same insecurity Daisy was struggling with? Edward struck Daisy as both dark and sweet at the same time. Daisy was on the verge of tears.
"That's not what I mean; I just don't want to make you feel uncomfortable. I'll send you the details, which you can then compile if you like and send to the teacher."
"If you are anticipating that the symptoms of social anxiety will freak me out and cause me to act inappropriately, that won't happen."
"I... "
"And one more thing, don't cry despite your best efforts to hold back.
I'm not crying, Daisy said as her eye expanded.
Okay, like you said, but you will persuade yourself to do what I am advising against.
She nearly broke down and said, "Edward, I'm fine." was what she said, but what she wanna say was, "The way you know me, Edward, makes me cry a river for you."
"I'm glad since I don't want to make my partner uncomfortable. Now, is that okay?"
Words "My partner," cause her to almost yell.
"Yeah, Edward, I got it."
'It must have been a hard day for you; OK, now take a nap or eat something; bye."
"Yes, it was you as well. Goodbye."
She can't help but think to herself as she rolls around on her bed,
"Yes, Edward, it had been a hard day."
