When they reached the second floor, Max and Hayley found that this floor contains two doors instead of one like the first one.
"Should we go left, or right?" Hayley asked curiously.
"Let's start with the one on the right sight, I have a good feeling about it," said Max with a smile.
Like that, the two-headed in the direction of the right door.
Max stood in front of the door, and then he opened it easily, when he entered inside, he found a huge library inside.
Looking around, he noticed that there might be thousands of books inside the room.
Hayley seeing this large number of books became excited as they seem very old, and that means they have a lot of history mentioned in them which they didn't want to teach her back at home.
Max seeing that Hayley's eyes are shining from seeing many books closed the door.
Seeing this Hayley looked at Max questionably.
"What?" said Hayley.
"If I didn't close the door, you would have jumped on the books. You had a look of a pervert," said Max seriously.
Hearing him calling her pervert made Hayley look at Max with a look that said 'You are dead'
Seeing this Max just played ignorant and moved slowly away from Hayley to go in the direction of the other door.
Hayley decided to just follow Max with a sullen expression on her face.
After looking inside the other room, he didn't find anything special except for a few useful artifacts.
The entire room was filled with weapons, spears, swords, armors, and accessories.
They filled the room to the brim, but Max didn't pay much attention to them since he already has a weapon that will evolve with him the more he get stronger.
He paid more attention to the armors in the room since he doesn't have a good one yet, but the problem is that half of the weapons here are corroded with demonic energy, which made them unusable for him.
After all, he doesn't have demonic energy, but he could still try later to use them by injecting them with Sanguimancy energy.
As for whether it will be a success or not, that is for later to think about.
Looking around the artifacts in the room, he turned his head and asked Hayley for help.
"Help me to find an artifact that can help us with taking all of the things in the tower," said Max to Hayley.
Hayley who is standing beside him, although having a sullen expression on her face due to Max's earlier comment, still started to help him look for artifacts that are related to space.
After looking for a while, they only found a small number of artifacts that had space attributes.
Max found two, while Hayley found three.
Three of them were rings while the other two were bracelets.
Although the amount is very small, that is still something natural. Outside if we placed one of those rings, it would cause a bloodbath. After all, on the outside, there are only space bags, to find space rings, it needs you to be blessed by lady luck.
So, yeah, you can imagine the prospect of finding something like this when you depend on luck. Making any artifacts that have any relation to the space attribute is as hard as humans sensing Mana and starting to cultivate.
Then what about space bags?
They are naturally easier but still, not many people have them, as it would still require a good refiner from the dwarves to work with someone who has an affinity with space law.
And finding dwarves nowadays is also one of the impossibilities of the Universe because according to the records in the family, they suddenly disappeared in the same period as when the dragons choose to retreat.
So, you can imagine the rarities of the space bags and rings nowadays in the universe, they are there but with a trashy performance.
Max decided to shake all of those thoughts away and see whether those artifacts in his hands are good or not. Even if they are trashy, they are still useful to keep appearance when he takes out things from the system in the future.
Max decided to check their abilities using the system's help.
A crimson screen appeared before him.
[ Name: Space Ring
Type: Space Artifact
Description: The Space Ring is a powerful artifact that allows its wielder to store objects of any size within its small circumference. Upon activation, the ring can accommodate objects equivalent to that of a small hall. Many adventurers have used the Space Ring to keep valuable artifacts safe from harm. Space Ring was crafted by a great dwarven artist from a time long forgotten]
Looking at the description in front of me, I just nodded my head. After all, something like this won't surprise me much, the privilege of having the system's inventory that has infinite space.
I just checked the other rings and they have the same description with a change in the bracelet's name being space bracelet. Other than this, the ring in my hands now is the largest one. The other two rings have the capacity of a small room, while the bracelets have the capacity of a large room.
I turned to Hayley and told her to take what she wanted and leave the rest for now as there is still one more floor to check.
"Well, let's go," I said with a smile, after putting the ring on one of my fingers.
The ring has a dull look, it looks very ordinary without any fluctuation of Mana or magic to show that it is a magic artifact. Well, that is for ordinary people, if someone has special eyes, they would be able to notice the small runes that are drawn on the ring.
Hayley just nodded her head and followed me upstairs to see what might be hidden on the last floor.
Truthfully, all the things I found till now are pretty much useless to me.
The ores that I found on the first floor are useless to me since I am not a blacksmith and I have no intention to start being one. Maybe I should look for someone talented to help me make some things, but that is for later.
As for the books on the second floor?
They are pretty much useless. After all, when will I have the time to sit down and read history? In the past, I had the time to read in the family's library but now?
As one can see, since I had the system attached to me, not much time had passed, but it had been a few hectic days.
From a strange dungeon in an unknown place to meeting a dragon princess and a mysterious demi-god who sent me to Hell.
And then meeting an Archdemon, even though I have no idea how strong is that, and fighting in a strange inheritance. All of those things happened in a very short time of just three weeks to a month.
I just want to sigh at how absurd my life became after getting the system.
So as you see, the books are pretty much useless, they could have another use but that will wait until I ask Lena later after returning home.
