The altar stopped shaking, and suddenly the entire floor turned crimson as a red light began to shine from the runes that are drawn on the altar and from inside the barrier.
While the red light took Max's and Hayley's eyesight, it didn't take their senses, and the next moment their senses alerted them of an impending doom.
A crisis that would somehow kill them. But before they could even understand where this feeling came from, a monstrous demonic energy came from the unsealed altar.
The amount of demonic energy threatened to devour Max and Hayley.
But before it could even come near them, a light blue barrier got erected around them. When the barrier got formed around them, all the demonic energy coming from the altar took a detour from Max and Hayley and spread into the rest of the floor, then to the rest of the tower.
Although Max wanted to know where this barrier came from, at this moment he didn't pay much attention to it as the red light disappeared and the runes on the altar stopped working.
So now, Max and Hayley can see what was sealed inside the altar all of this time.
And what they saw inside made them both speechless and not know whether to be angry at such a waste of time or simply indifferent.
Inside the altar are just two things.
One of them was releasing a large amount of demonic energy. As for the other one, it was as stable as Mount Tai.
There is a large egg on the altar.
The egg is 25 cm long, it is covered with a lot of runes. The egg is black and doesn't release any aura. The black shell takes the shape of scales, it seems to be protecting whatever is inside the egg.
I took a look at the egg and then ignored it completely and turned my attention to the other thing on the altar.
It is just a small crimson vial that is covered with a lot of small runes.
The vial is releasing demonic energy as it is floating in the air beside the egg.
The vial seals inside it a liquid, if my guess is correct, it is probably blood.
Looking at the two things that should be the most important in the inheritance, I became a little confused.
What the hell will I do with an egg and a vial of sealed blood?
Maybe I could grow the creature inside the egg, but even this is dubious after all there is no demonic energy on the surface, and I have no intention in staying here in Hell.
As for why did I assume that the egg is of demonic origin even though it doesn't release any aura?
I don't know, it is just my instincts that told me this.
I turned to the speechless Hayley and asked her what is on my mind.
"Do you have any idea who this egg belongs to?"
"Ehm… I mean which race does it belong to?" I corrected my words.
"I have some guesses, but we will know when it will hatch," said Hayley after pondering for a few seconds.
"Do you have any knowledge regarding hatching eggs?" I asked curiously, but then I remembered something that made me a little embarrassed, so I wanted to change my words but Hayley answered my question normally.
"Yes, I have some knowledge," said Hayley.
If I remember correctly, dragons come from eggs. So yeah, she should have some experience in seeing dragons hatching from their eggs, even if the creature in the egg isn't a dragon.
"Well, anyway. I will put them into my ring so we can leave this place and go home. I am already tired from this shit," I said while stretching my body as I started to feel sour again all over my body.
"So, you have a way to make us return to the surface," said Hayley with a smile.
I had an awkward expression on my face when I answered Hayley's words, "yes, but it needed a few days from our arrival to work."
"Is it an artifact?" Hayley asked curiously.
"You will know later," I answered with a smile.
"Tsk," Hayley just clicked her tongue and didn't ask again.
I waved my hands and collected the veil and the egg, and placed them in the system storage. When I return home, I would have more time to check them.
After that, we headed downstairs to collect all the things in the tower.
It took us one hour to collect everything in the tower from books to artifacts, and weapons. We took a quick tour around the tower to make sure nothing was missing, and then we finally left the tower.
Standing outside the tower and looking at the pale environment that is around them and the strange sky.
I sighed as finally after 20 days of staying in Hell, I am finally going home.
'Lena!'
[Yes, Master?]
'Can you activate the function that can send us back home?'
[Sure]
'Wait!'
[Yes?]
'Where are we going to end up?'
I decided to make sure, as I don't want to end up in another country or in the middle of the ocean, as that would be troublesome. But if something like this happened, I will just hope that Hayley could teleport us back.
[You will return to the point of space that you have teleported from]
"Sigh"
Hearing this I just sighed in relief.
"What are you sighing about?" asked Hayley from the side.
"Nothing, I am just happy that we are going to go back," I said with a smile.
[Master, hold into any part of Hayley's body so that you can be teleported together]
'Do I have to?'
[Yes, Master]
'Then how long before the teleportation?'
[10 Seconds Master]
'Okay'
"How are we going to go back? Aren't you going to tell me now?" Hayley asked curiously.

I just looked at her while listening to the countdown for Lena in my head and extended my hand in her direction.
"Give me your hands," I said with a smile.
"What?" asked Hayley, clearly stunned by my request.
[6]
[5]
"Hey, don't dilly-dally unless you want to stay here with the demons."
[3]
[2]
"Okay, let's see what you are plotting," Hayley answered while moving her left hand in my direction.
I just took her hands into mine before seeing a new system screen in front of my eyes.

[Starting teleportation back to Earth]
Then a crimson barrier enveloped me and Hayley. The crimson barrier then shone brightly and then broke the dimension barrier of Hell and teleported us from our position.
After the two of them disappeared from their place. The castle retained its original calmness until a sigh was heard.
"Sigh"
"Finally those two left, I can finally leave this shitty castle."
The person who is talking appeared in the place Max and Hayley were just standing in, the figure is covered in darkness. This is the figure who tested Max and was staying in the castle.
Slowly the darkness started to disappear from around the figure as its appearance finally started to appear.
What appeared in its place is a tall woman who stood at 190 cm. she has long red hair, and two large red demonic horns coming out of her forehead. she has a perfect figure, and her body proportions are all in the right place.
Currently, she is wearing a tight-fitting leather bodice that hugs her body's curves and emphasizes her perfect form. The bodice is adorned with intricate metallic detailing, including chains and spikes that glint in the light. The skirt is short and flirty, made of layers of gauzy black fabric that swirl around the wearer's hips as she moves, revealing glimpses of her long white legs. The skirt is also adorned with metallic detailing that echoes that of the bodice, giving the ensemble a cohesive and edgy look.
She is wearing a smile on her face as if a burden has been lifted off her shoulder.
"Now, I can leave in peace and go bother him," said the woman while stretching her body while outlining her body curves but unfortunately there is no one to witness this scene.
After this, she started to fly as she headed in a certain direction and finally left the castle after who knows how many years.
The moment she left, the large castle started to disappear as if it hasn't been here a few moments ago.
