Chapter 21 - Chapter 21, Time To Work

[Name: Sanguimancy Points

Description: The Sanguimancer class utilizes their own bloodline reserves to manifest powerful abilities. With training and concentration, a Sanguimancer can tap into their unique bloodline traits to activate a wide range of abilities, from physical enhancements to elemental manipulation or mind control. However, overuse of bloodline energy can cause physical exhaustion or even permanent damage. Proceed with caution.]

[Note: Sanguimancy Points are equal to the Intelligence of the Host X 3]

Max just read the description and kept silent for a while.

Then he asked Lena a question.

"Don't other vampires have the same resources? Since they also have bloodline abilities?"

[Yes and No]

"What do you mean?" Max asked confused.

[The other vampires have bloodline energy which they usually use more on instinct without any training so their bloodline power is less specialized and requires less control, as it comes more naturally to them.]

[As for you Master, your bloodline power is more focused and deliberate, and you will have to develop the ability to manage your bloodline reserves, balancing the risks and rewards of using your powers.]

"Huh?"

"Doesn't that put me at disadvantage? Since they can use it more easily than me without any risks?" I asked confused since I can't see any advantage over regular vampires.

[Master, You are a Sanguimancer vampire, who has to learn how to harness your bloodline powers through training and practice. As an advantage you will have access to a wider range of abilities beyond basic vampiric powers, such as elemental manipulation or mind control.]

"I see," hearing this made me a little relieved, and at the same time, I was wondering how much training is it going to need so I can start mastering this volatile power.

But I just threw that thought to the back of my mind and focused on the new skills I have just gained.

After focusing on skill names, immediately 8 new crimson screens appeared before me with each skill and its description.

[Bloodline Awakening: With increased attunement to their bloodline power, the user's physical abilities are enhanced. This skill permanently boosts strength, speed, and endurance. Upon leveling up, Strength, Agility, and Stamina increase by 1]

Seeing the description of this skill, Max was a little excited as he imagined the speed which his physical body will reach with the help of this skill, as it will give physical stat points that are not coming from his level-up bonus.

Speaking of this, Max stopped checking the skills and asked Lena about the bonus stats he will gain from each level up and how much stats increase he is going to get.

[Master, with every level up, you will gain: Strength= +1, Agility= +1, Stamina= +1, Intelligence= +2, and Vitality= +4, this is the total increase of each status with each level up]

[There is also a +1 stats point that is free to distribute with each level up, and my advice is to keep them unused unless you are in a dangerous situation]

Looking at all of this I nodded with a happy smile on my face.

But I didn't know where all of these points will take me since I don't know much about the stats of each power level except their names and the number of Mana points a person should hold at the time so they can break through.

Max didn't think much and left these things for later as he was too lazy to calculate without any basses to build upon right now.

Emptying his mind, Max moved his eyesight to the next skill.

[Mana Affinity: The user's affinity with Mana grows stronger over time, allowing them to manipulate it with greater ease. This skill permanently increases the user's Mana capacity and Mana regeneration rate. Upon leveling up, Intelligence increases by 2]

Looking at this, I nodded again as with this all my stats will get an extra boast in addition to the level-up bonus.

I moved on to see the remaining two passive skills.

[Bloodline Resilience: The user's bloodline power grants them increased resistance to physical and elemental attacks. This skill permanently increases the user's defense and elemental resistance.]

[Enhanced Senses - The Sanguimancer's heightened bloodline abilities also extend to their senses, allowing them to see in the dark and detect subtle changes in their environment.]

Will bloodline Resilience is going to be useful the more I advance forward in ranks as having resistance to elemental damage is very useful against the mages.

While increasing my defense passively by this skill is also great as there are no stats in the status sheet to show me how high or low my defense is, so I will also need to experiment so I can know my upper limits, so that I don't do something foolish in the future with no confidence to back it up.

Now comes the active skills.

[Blood Strike: This skill infuses the user's physical attacks with their bloodline power, dealing increased damage and causing their opponents to bleed. The cost of this skill could be 3 Sanguimancy points per strike, and it could have a cooldown of 8 seconds before it can be used again.]

[Blood Rush: This skill taps into the user's bloodline power, increasing their physical abilities beyond their normal limits for a short period of time. It temporarily increases the user's strength, speed, and endurance, at the cost of 10 Sanguimancy points. This skill could have a cooldown of 30 minutes before it can be used again.]

[Sanguine Strike: This skill channels the user's bloodline power into their weapon, imbuing it with an elemental property that damages enemies and heals the user. It consumes 7 Sanguimancy points and has a cooldown of 20 seconds before it can be used again.]

[Blood Spear: This skill channels the user's ancestral power into their Mana, creating a spear made of blood that impales their enemy. It could cost 12 Sanguimancy points and 9 Mana points to use and have a cooldown of 45 seconds before it can be used again.]

After reading about all my new skills, I become more and more excited to test my new strength.

But suddenly, the expression on my face turned strange when I noticed something.

Looking at the first 3 skills, they only use Sanguimancy points, only the last skill needs Mana to be activated.

Shouldn't there be more skills that use Mana since the class specializes in Mana and bloodline abilities?

Finding it strange, I decided to ask Lena to enlighten me, but her answer stunned me into silence.

[You will have to create Mana skills by yourself as you are practicing]

Hearing this I slightly frowned, but then I relaxed my expression.

Who said that the system is going to baby-feed him everything?

Anyway, those skills are better than nothing, and he can find Mana skills or spells in the clan's Library back in the Vampire realm, so it isn't a problem.

But for now, let's think about where to go to train my new abilities and level up.
