The pellet was released and what Brandyn noticed was that he could see the projectile coming toward him, which was not the case months before when he was a gang member.
The rocky pellet shattered onto the bars of the vent cover, while some fragments of rock scattered over Brandyn's suit. Since it protected him from such damage, he didn't even feel the pellets.
Following the shooting of this projectile, he wielded the vent cover with one hand the laptop with the other. It was clear that this guy wasn't going to pack much of a punch -since he used a weapon made for weak gangsters- so he swung the vent cover at his head.
Bam!
The quick collision caused the man's eyes to roll to the back of his head and his body lifelessly flopped to the floor.
Flinging the cover to the side, Brandyn diverted his attention to the wall opening beside him.
