The batch was also slightly smaller than the last wave, since the Zombie King was dishing out far more formidable aggressors. This was partly to allow the students to better handle themselves and not receive injuries that were too grave or life-threatening, but also because it had a greater strain on the Zombie King to release the same number of stronger zombies.
The halls stayed particularly empty, and the sounds were quieter than before. This meant that the group weren't going to have as easy a chance to take out their opponents.
*thud*
Ahead of them, landed a zombie that looked far less decayed than the other zombies. Its coarse skin had still slit in some places but the flesh under it looked far more human and less septic.
"I think this zombie might be a handful to deal with. Let me feel it out." Brandyn said, walking ahead to the forefront of his 4-man cell.
