The forger was quite a bit confused on why he wanted a knife out of coin silver. Coin silver was an alloy simply not built for weaponry compared to things like stainless steel or other materials made by people's abilities.
"What's the point of using coin silver for a knife? You know it'll just make this more expensive; it'll do nothing for you." He explained, while placing the blocks of metal into a small rock bowl.
After doing this, he placed a protective forging mask over his coarse face to begin melting the blocks of coin silver.
"I need specifically coin silver. If I use any other metal, the knife will be useless to me." Brandyn replied, still omitting key parts of his motive.
He didn't see any need to tell this random blacksmith his plan. He couldn't think of any direct consequences of doing so but he decided to keep some information hidden to stay safe.
