Once he landed this punch, his eyes flashed orange but he didn't notice this.
"Who are you?!" Bruiser blurted out after this surprise attack.
As Flavian was just stood there, open, Bruiser swung his arm horizontally to try and stab him with his axe. Before the experiment, Flavian would've been toast then but he somehow saw the attack coming from a mile off. His perception had improved drastically, and he swerved out of the axe's line of trajectory.
He wasn't much faster than Bruiser, but his timing was almost perfect in that moment, which left him unscathed.
"You're gonna die today." Flavian declared, lifting his fist while tensing it tightly.
He clenched his fist so tightly that it had a strong, intimidating vibration.
*swing*
*swing*
Bruiser continuously directed his axes at Flavian, but they just kept missing. He was able to perceive his attacks and evade like he was simply flowing around the attacks. From being unable to even see attacks like these to dodging them, the experience was exhilarating for him.
The feeling of finally being superior.
Although, he started getting too confident and was evading the attacks with flair. Bruiser wasn't here to waste time, so he just capitalised on this and jabbed out his axe to finally land his first axe slash. In succession, he drove his upper body forward while aiming out his right elbow.
The attack was unexpected and swift, so it landed right on Flavian's face, propelling him back a few steps.
His nose felt like it was on fire and judging from how it felt in terms of shape, he knew that it was broken.
While he was distracted once again, Bruiser chucked up his axe then pounced. He charged right in and clenched his, now open, fist with ferocity. Explosively, he shot out his fist into Flavian's stomach then caught his axe in the same motion.
"So strong!"
While the axe was dropping into his palm, he utilised this momentum and drove down his body again to shoot down his axe. Flavian was in a position so he couldn't dodge but had to block the attack. The blade of the axe head sliced right through the muscle fibres in his arms, leaving a painful cut.
The 2 fighters continued to go at it, and they were both landing attacks and evading attacks that came at them.
*POW* *POW* *BLAM* *BLAM*
Flavian seemed to be faster than his opponent, but he didn't have anywhere near as much battle technique. Also, it was harder to keep up as he was having to keep up with someone that wielded two sharp, powerful weapons.
The bloodshed started to pile up and the injuries were piling on. Across Flavian's chest, he had two cuts that burned and burned but the only reason that he was able to keep going was because the adrenaline coursing through his veins dulled the pain.
Bruiser made a powerful step forward as he advanced towards Flavian then swung down his axe for yet another slash. Flavian had started to analyse the movements of his opponent and he started to predict the trajectory of his swings.
He was able to veer himself right out of the way of the axe and in that same motion, he pulled over his fist to connect with his face. His cheek rippled upon the impact of his punch and Bruiser's body was knocked to the side due to this punch.
The attack was forceful and good, but Bruiser didn't even look concerned about that attack.
Flavian waited for Bruiser to dart forward by keeping his arms held up ahead of his torso. Bruiser charged towards him in a powerful stroll and, since he wasn't guarding his body, Flavian capitalised on this and threw another punch for his face.
As the blurry fist came close to Bruiser, he smirked as he was able to move his body to the side effortlessly. This meant that the fist shot right past the side of his face. Flavian didn't have enough time to retract his fist and so, Bruiser simply chucked his axe forward so that it wouldn't slice Flavian but stab deep into his body instead.
The axe edge scratched into his ribs and caused him deep pain as it cut right through his pectoral muscle. The other slashes that he had received were far shallower and more manageable but the slash that he had now received was overwhelming him due to the pain.
Brandyn from the side, used this time to recuperate and his healing factor allowed him to gain a good chunk of his power back. The deep cut on his torso had now dulled into a bloody graze, which only had a light, sharp pain.
As the axe was deep in Flavian's chest, his eyes were glued to it as he stepped back slowly and sluggishly.
"Was this the end?" He asked himself, after feeling a weird fuzzy sensation in his head.
*BAM*
*BAM*
Bruiser connected with two straight punches to his face and the last punch even caused his body to spin around before he fell to the ground.
*thud*
Flavian fell right onto his back and his vision was starting to fade quickly. Was this the end? After years of suffering, fighting for his own survival, he had finally gained the power to live in freedom. However, his minutes seemed to be numbered. His chest was covered in the warm, red liquid that oozed from the gash in his chest.
"I need to step in! It's over for us if he goes down now!" Brandyn thought as he saw their chances of victory fall by the second.
The only thing that Flavian could do was cower away like a dog.
Brandyn's mind was racing with several different thoughts and the main thought was that he couldn't stand to see someone die due to him. Bruiser was there for him, not for Flavian. He even told everyone to leave to minimise collateral damage, even if he hated those students with all of his heart.
If there was anyone that didn't deserve this, it was Flavian. If he had any power left, he needed it and he needed it now!

Once this notification popped up in the corner of his sight, dark purple and black electricity started to appear and crackle across his skin more energetically than before. His muscles also bulged up as his eyes blazed with a bright glow.
