"What you are going to do is that you are all going to try mark one another as I stated before. This will go on for 3 minutes and I will watch every single one of you. Begin!"

Brandyn, with his marker tight in his grasp, began to utilise some of his archdemonic abilities. His speed amplified a somewhat considerable amount and his agility certainly increased too. As the distance between him and Peter closed, he continued to sway and bop his body. His arms weren't as tight to his body as in boxing but he tried to mimic the techniques he had seen on the many videos he had been watching.
In mixed martial arts, he was smart enough to perceive the longer range the fighters would fight at and the far looser guards these fighters would possess.
As he moved in this manner, Peter was a little intimidated and these students didn't exactly have all the space in the world to show off their physical prowess.
All he could do was retreat but Brandyn was easily able to close the gap due to his human reaction time and movement speed.
After a fair share of battles, Brandyn could now basically determine the range to best attack. When he used to get attacked by someone like Elias, there was nothing he could do to even handle the assault. However, for someone around Saru's level, he found it much easier to actually throw a few attacks of his own. These assaults seemed more like a fight, than just bullying.
Once the range had shortened to a decent amount, he jabbed out his pen and managed to land a marking with ease. Peter was barely able to react and Brandyn remained unscathed, with a 1-up on his opponent.
The two fighters stayed stationary and continued to wait for the other to give them an opportunity.
Peter swivelled one of the markers in his right hand and did so quite smoothly. As his hand came towards Brandyn, he swung his marker in the reverse grip. His swing was fast for a human and the amount of power he was able to put into the swing was impressive. However, he was no stronger than a regular-born.
Brandyn felt as if Peter was moving in slow motion and all it took was a slight dip backwards to be completely protected from this swing.
Another swing came, this time with the ordinary grip. It came lower and towards the vest that he wore to protect his clothing. However, he just tapped his marker away with his own and went directly on the assault.
Over Peter's arm, he swung with all of his weight and left a large slash marking across his vest with a dark violet marker. Next, he made two swift slashes that Peter seemed to be unable to deal with. To him, his arm was a complete blur and the slashes felt like deep and powerful slashes across his torso. Even with the slightly protective vest he wore, he felt pain from this forceful assault.
"He's way too fast with that ability! I can't even see him!" Peter was quite distressed and knew his teacher was watching the entire thing.
What he definitely didn't want to do was embarrass himself in front of his teacher so he used some of the remaining space that he possessed to fall back and away from Brandyn.
*THWIP*
Since Brandyn just reacted by advancing back towards him, Peter hurled forwards one of his markers as if it was a dagger. The throw was beyond what Brandyn thought he could do and any sort of throw this fast would be seen as elite for a regular-born.
Due to Brandyn's supernatural reflex and vision, he was easily able to knock this marker out of the way by swatting it up.
*tap*
Peter managed to land the first touch of Brandyn's vest but this was a lethal mistake.
"Such adaptability! That was impressive but that will result in your loss. Santiago is far quicker than you and in the time it takes you to land one marking, he can land multiple." Mr Gudbrand analysed, standing in the seating area of the arena.
The marking continued and Peter was clearly outmatched. His dexterity allowed him to use both of his daggers to even the degree of a low-level police officer using the same weapon as him but his strength was quite clearly lacking.
Brandyn managed to land a grand total of 35 markings but he got merely 4 markings on himself.
"Everyone! Your time is up! From what I have just witnessed, many of you decide to focus on offence in your bouts. Maybe, it was because these were just markers but you need to realise that with most abilities, a single good slash could put you out of commission. A few good slashes could kill you." Mr Gudbrand explained, with an enthusiastic tone to his voice.
Brandyn, even after getting brutally humiliated by the teacher, was quite intrigued in his teachings. Well, he wasn't exactly new to getting attacked and ridiculed so that didn't affect him much but the way his teacher talked about the science behind knife warfare and combat was developed and almost beautiful. The same students that could barely make it through a single lecture were actually anticipating the next time they would meet Mr Gudbrand.
The school day soon came to an end and Brandyn was quick to leave the school.
On the high speed train, it only took mere minutes to return to his impoverished neighbourhood in Salham.
Entering his empty but spotless apartment complex, a single letter was placed right ahead of the door.
