Since Brandyn had become too focused on stopping the blade from piercing his skin, he wasn't totally aware of the other open parts of his body. And so, Amelda drove her left knee forward and winded him with a knee to the gut. However, she didn't fortify it with any metal or rock and so, it was an attack that was strong, but it was something that Brandyn was able to handle anyway.
After he was forced back slightly, Amelda grabbed the blade with her gauntlet and snapped it right out of her skin so she could wield it freely with her right gauntlet. Instead of trying to use it as a sword, she twisted her body anticlockwise and hurled the blade right at Brandyn's head.
The blade came in close contact towards him, but he was able to dip his head to the side, and the sharp blade travelled past his ear.
