The dinner had ended and people were already making their way out. And that was thing I wanted to do the most. Get the hell out of this house but before I could I had to find Sophie. After the dinner she took Wendy to get her some clothes because we were taking her home with us again. When I walked outside to wait for them by the car I noticed Carl sitting out on the porch. I wanted to walk pass him but looking at his sorry state I couldn't. That's when what Betty-Ann said crossed my mind making me sigh as I walked back inside, got an ice pack before going over to him
"Here" I simply said
"What is this?" He asked
"An ice pack. Put in on your lip or eye. Whatever?" I said
"I don't need your pity" he said pushing it away
"Look I'm trying to be nice, just take it" I offered again. He looked at me before taking it and I sat beside him
"Thanks" he said putting the ice pack on the black eye that I had given him
