(Martha)
After calming myself down I got up and wiped the tears away from my face
"Everything's gonna be okay Martha. Just bare with it for a little while longer" I said as I forced myself to smile in the mirror. After composing myself I went down to the living room and saw James and his parents sitting opposite to each other staring blankly.
The mother looked at me straight in the eyes and I could practically feel the anger she bore in her heart as her ice like eyes landed on me
"You, Maid, get me some tea" she ordered
"Yes madam" I nodded
"Martha stop right there" James said eyes not removed from his mother
"Is there a problem, James?" She asked slightly glaring at him
"Mother we don't have tea in this house"
"Then get me some coffee"
"Sorry but we don't have your kind of coffee. There's only instant"
"Instant coffee? I'm sure I raised you better than that. Don't you at least have a coffee machine?"
"Yes in fact I do but there's no packets left" he said
