My first night at Betty-Ann's house had come and gone. The sunlight shooting through the window hit me dead in the face waking me. Looking to my right I smiled at the sight of Betty-Ann snuggling up in my arm. The smile on my face faded as I remembered what I had told her yesterday. Wanting to avoid that awkward conversation I tried to slowly get off the bed being careful not to wake the sleeping Betty-Ann. I crept towards the door but the minute I put my hands on the handle to open it I heard her voice
"Going somewhere?" she asked. I awkwardly smiled before turning towards her and saw her rubbing her eyes as she sat up
"Just gonna change my clothes and go get ready for school," I said sheepishly rubbing the back of my head.
"Oh, so you're going to school today? I thought you'd be too busy moving in with Sophia," she said as I smiled nervously
"So you remembered that, huh," I sighed
"I said we're gonna talk about it tomorrow"
