I had to cling on to my scarf as tightly as I can. The night breeze, coupled with the chilling blow of the west wind is a deadly combination. Good thing is that I’m wearing a thick fur coat over black blouse and loose pants.
“Did you bring everything? Please check your stuff. You don’t want Edwin to turn around to get a toothbrush or something.”
Jiego chuckled on my joke. It’s 9:15 pm on my clock and I stand here on a wide lawn like a supportive wife. Bidding a temporary goodbye to her husband who’s gonna be away for a week’s trip.
“I double checked my things already, wife. Nothing’s left at the mansion.”
I nodded.
“Good.”
Behind him, Edwin, the private plane’s pilot appeared on the entrance door and cocked his head. I gave him a smile. Even at his age, he still looks like in his early thirties. I guess some men just age like fine wine.
“I think your pilot’s already calling you aboard.”
