Chapter 10 - Chapter 10- The new Captain

Aiden's Pov:

The police Debute

" Aiden!" Barked one of my comrades 'Kevin' who was loaded with documents pilled up to his face level

"We have a problem" Kevin stated as he placed the documents in front of me.

"What is it?" I questioned

"It's about the Crimsons" I instantly turned my attention to Kevin.

"They have gone too far Aiden! These assholes bombed the museum" Kevin barked

"Do you know how many people died n there?" he continues

"1000 People! Some of them were kids and elders" Kevin says furiously.

"DANG IT!" I aggressively punched my table.

This is the 3rd time this month these assholes have done something shady.

Their first attempt was killing one of the royal nobles 'congress Erika'

The second attempt was far worse, they killed half of our research team and burnt our HQ down.

Now, they have scooped so low in killing up to 1000 people?

A groan left my mouth disappointedly as I tried not to lose my sense of humour.

The situation was getting worse every day, we had no clue what their next stunt is gonna be, but whatever it was, I know it will be their last because they are not gonna get away with this.

"How did you know it was the crimsons? How are you sure it's not any other mafia gang?" I questioned

"They left an anonymous letter 30 minutes before the bomb went off. Luckily, one of the lieutenants was able to catch the person who dropped the letter at the HQ. but, It took us an extra 12 minutes before we could make him talk, when we did, the team got there too late." Kevin explained.

"We have to inform the Captain! we need to step up our game if we ever want to succeed in catching those twerps" I said

"You mean Captain Marcus?" Kevin rolled his eyes boldly as shivers crawled down his spine

"He's the reason why no one takes our job seriously, Every citizen in this city keeps blaming the FBI for not doing our job in protecting this city and it's not our fault! If we didn't have such a horrible leader, this shit would have never happened in the first place" Kevin raged reluctantly burying his face in his palms.

From this point, I didn't know what to say. We needed a leader that will not let down the team or the city. I've been working in this place for 7 years, yet, every day keeps repeating itself. Being bossed around by a so-called- Captain 'Marcus', sleepless nights, a mountain of home works [documents], and lastly, Horrible news that never seems to rest.

Still, in deep thought, I found myself walking to the Captain's office. This case needed to be settled, and fast! I knew the Captain wouldn't want to hear me out or would just flop this news like he always does, but I still had to try, and raise a complaint before things gets out of hand.

I was about knocking but to my curiosity, the door was slightly opened. I reluctantly let myself in hoping to see an angry Captain Marcus but was astonished to see a feminine posture sitting on Captain Marcus's desk.

"Aiden. missed me much?" Her recognizable sexy and deep voice echoed as my heart skipped a beat. My eyes went in touch with her hazel eyes, her black short hair, and her perfectly modelled body covered by the uniform. Her cheeks were as Rosy as her lips smutted in a red stick. I wasn't very good at describing people which fascinated me.

I smirked as I walked slightly closer to her, leaving 2 feet away.

"Fancy meeting you here"

"General Cara"

I grinned and instantly rushed into her arms as she roughly grabbed my collar leading me on with a steamy kiss. Unable to hold myself back, I lifted her effortlessly and gently laid her on the desk as we made out.

"I knew you'd come back" I whispered on my breath pausing our desires.

"I knew I shouldn't have disappeared like that but now I'm back" she continues and leans in softly biting my bottom lip.

I smirked and held her thighs up leaning in as I loosed the buttons exposing my chest as we continued till passed hours.

Hours Later...

Cara's POV:

"I'm glad you're back captain" Kevin and the rest of his comrades beamed a reluctant smile at me gathering around.

"Thank you... I know I've been gone for almost six months now, but I promise, I'm back for good" I smiled back as they cheered.

"But-" I cut in leading them to dead silence.

"Now that I'm leading, we have to act more seriously about this case, and pin ourselves to our number one target"

"The Crimson" I pointed at the board which had a clear picture of Kris Laveron and Ross Laveron.

"Those are our biggest rivals, and you should know how much people that's suffered during their involvement" I continued as everyone quietly spectated.

"After a lot of quests and in and outs of knowing more about these demonic idiots, I know their next move" I smirked and fished out some documents from under my desk instantly placing them on the table.

"Tomorrow evening, A well-known King of the Iraq republic is hosting a royal ball for his daughter's coronation."

"This is gonna catch the crimson's eyes knowing how selfish and greedy they are for money and sabotaging a really important event like that." I launched a dice at the crimson getting a direct hit.

"That's mostly true. They never turn down an uninvited event." Aiden points and turns to Kevin, Asther, Eugene, and the rest of his comrades. They were silent for a second before agreeing to our theory.

"Permission to speak Captain" Eugene raises his hand as I nodded out of sympathy

"Permission granted"

"How are we gonna show up there without being seen?" Eugene asked.

"Easy" I replied smirking.

"Disguise."

"All of the Crimsons are gonna be there, so each team in the police force will play a role," I added.

"Tomorrow, you should wear the fanciest outfit you've got. Think of it as a celebration... of getting our hands dirty"

Another hour went and everyone understood our go about in capturing the crimsons. After they were all dismissed, i laid back on my chair exhausted. I opened my drawer from under my desk and fished out a picture. I smiled as i picked it up, it brought me back to old memories of when I had a reason to live. In the picture was a clear image of Emily and i, we looked so happy and inseparable.

I had to stay strong, even though i desperately wanted to hold unto the picture tightly and cry until they are no tears left, but crying wouldn't solve anything, Avenge will, and i will make sure of it
