I wake up to the sound of my alarm clock, groggily rubbing my eyes as I sit up in bed. The day has finally come…. My first mission.
I stretch my arms and legs, feeling the tension from yesterday's battle still lingering in my muscles. I glance at the clock and see that it's already 6:30 am.
Time to get up and start the day.
As I get dressed in my combat gear, memories of what Father used to tell me about our aristocratic past begin to surface in my mind.
"We come from a family of high status, with a bloodline tracing back to the Royal family of Wales. Our people were warriors and kings to rule the seas and yet we are now squirming in the ground as our homeland was taken away by the monsters on the surface." He spoke with pride and pats my shoulder and leaned forward to whisper in my ear.
"Remember who you are, your life is not equal to those scum who will be around you during the military. We are born different."
