With the advent of life extending serums I proclaimed a new order that the glasssing of planets be nolonger permitted and began a massive reclamation project on the ones that I'd glassed in the bug wars. 10 years after beginning the reclamation project the first world we had glassed was showing progress but even better than that a full 14 years after it began construction the planetoid ship Phoenix was completed 4 years after the projected completion date this of course was my fault as during construction I'd changed and modified many things of the ship infact it now had 200 fusion reactors and the latest weapons we could install including a modified laser system that my crews had dubiously dubbed the Laser pointer system though in reality it was a new method of laser focusing system that utilized the effects of the skip drive to turn what ordinarily eas a 1 second laser beam into a picosecond burst of focused laser energy in the x-ray range meaning even more power than a standard laser so instead of a beam of light my lasers became a burst of energy so intense that compared to my original lasers they were 5 times more powerful and were faster.
The new laser systems had been improved so much that their ordinarily 3 ls maximum range was increased to 12ls with a travel time in the picoseconds so fast that if you blinked you would miss it not that you would see the beams now at all anyway. With all of the new upgrades my fleet had become truly formidable and yet I couldn't help but feel that something worse was on the horizon and that we would be faced with a threat so deadly that it would wipe us from the face of the galaxy. I had no idea that my premonition of danger was spot on though that would not come for another few years I still commissioned the production of another planetoid ship that was the same class as the Phoenix. I had realized that our supplies of ore were beginning to run low despite the fairly efficient mining of system and knowing that I'd want to build many more planetoid ships I commissioned the construction of long distance mining ships to mine other systems for ore and resources.
As life continued in a peaceful fashion for several years I was able to tinker with our bomb pumped laser missiles and further improved their accuracy to the point of an 80% hit ratio per missile meaning that 16 of the 20 laser rods per missile would hit a corvette size ship and then I even further modified it to be more dangerous by changing the lasing rods to something that would work a little better and converted them into gamma ray beams meaning that they were 10 times more destructive than before the modification and they had now reached their 9th iteration meaning I now had mk IX missiles. My fleets technology was at the epitome of what humanity alone could achieve and I pulled the Wawenog science corps into my science division and between our two races a number of general life improvements came into being along side more minor improvements to how we used our hyper drive technology and shields improving both by a percentage point while the skip drive became even faster with a reduction in the amount of energy required per skip making the initial start of a skip drive run the only point that required the full energy requirement and even improved the distance a skip jump could cover.
Now aboard my newest ship the planetoid Phoenix I decided that I'd take us out as far as we could to scout every inch of the galaxy for threats enemies and worlds. We started our galactic exploration by first scouting out everything inside a 300ly range of our home system and with that we went out beyond anywhere humanity had ever seen first we found the bugs who had after our annihilation retreated to a single system and it was so fortified I doubted if even with my newest ship and its on board fleet of ships could even get near the planet and then I found the homeworld of the AhGi who were currently fighting off an invasion of their own so I stopped on for a quick word to both sides even if the AhGi were not really friends I didn't want to see them be exterminated simply because they were useful and had provided some technical ideas albeit unwillingly and honestly once my ship arrived in system all fighting stopped as either fear or awe overtook both sides.
With the fighting stopped and I took the initiative to send messages to both forces the first being the unknown fleet along with a translation guide and then to both I sent "stop your fighting or feel the wrath of death itself" this basically put everything on both sides on hold entirely the AhGi were dumbfounded as I'd sent a message in their own language to them meanwhile the unknown fleet was struggling to translate my message but were glad they had stopped firing once they saw the message. The AhGi as violent as ever tried to start a fight with me so using only one PPC I vaporized the largest ship in their fleet a oversized dreadnought that probably took them years to build. The firepower of a single fully charged ppc annihilating their pride and joy basically ended the AhGi resistance to my polite request to peace and they quickly obliged my request the unknown fleet seeing a single shot shred the AhGi ship that had given them the most trouble in their battle decided that discretion was the better part of valor and promptly backed off out of range of the AhGi fleet unknown to them however they were still easily inside my own range.
The unknown fleet sent a reply that basically amounted to "hello we are the Moro and we are here to exterminate the threat of the AhGi from the galaxy and our lives they have hounded us these last 3000 years and we are through with their antics." honestly I wasn't surprised by this I suspected as much so thinking quickly I came up with a compromise and sent back a message that would dictate the fate of the AhGi forever more. I'd come to the conclusion that the AhGi were warlike from the beginning years ago so my solution was fairly simple the AhGi were not going to have spacecraft until they learned how to be peaceful and I sent this in full to all sides the AhGi were utterly indignant that I would contemplate something like that but the Moro accepted this compromise and the AhGi didn't get a say though I stated to the AhGi that they should leave their ships unless they wished to die a pointless death and then I gave them 5 seconds to evacuate before I began the systematic annihilation of their fleet which took no time at all sadly only a small percentage of them had even launched lifeboats before they were annihilated utterly.
