Holy Shit.
How arrogant can people get?
"Vesperi, I haven't done anything in this city to be killed just yet." Eirene had a shit eating grin plastered on her face and I was only looking at her for five seconds and I'm sick of it.
"That's not gonna make me put the sword away, Dissiri." No, it makes me want to use your vertebrae as chess pieces. Then I'll wrap you in your intestines and ship you off to Nagisa. "Not gonna even invite me inside? Not quite the gentlemen are you?"
"To someone like you? No. Tell me Dissiri, why are you here? The Four Horsemen's defeat would have reached me by now, meaning you haven't challenged them to get to me, or the other ranks above you."
"You're right I haven't challenged them yet. I just don't think they would put up a good challenge. I was beaten by rank 5 Jace Levesque, not the four."
"Technically you didn't have to challenge all four at once then. You only took on two, Leonidas and Manako, any rank below 5 but above 10 has to challenge all four horsemen in order to take on a new rank."
"Yes, well, I stand by my decision. I am here, and I wish to see your so-called 'skill'."
"I would be going against city rules if I did harm you without physical reason."
"Oh! So you are a gentleman to a point. Fine" I could feel my expression turn to that of disgust as I could hear the cracking Eirene's spine as it ripped out of her body, blood dripping from it, it looked like white scorpion tail made out of chain-like bones.
What a disgusting ability.
I raised my rapier with my left hand and took a stance, Eirene, you have no manners if you are willing to attack me in my own house, while my dinner is on the stove.
As I blinked I could hear the cracking of the scorpion-like spine come towards me. I was about to pierce Eirene's spine but the shadows below her shifted and wrapped around her body stopping her attack towards me.
Eirene's body started to shiver, her warm skin tone turning red as a reaction to the cold shadows that had her locked where she was.
'Akatone, are you alright?'
'I'm fine, you didn't give her enough time to do damage.'
Eirene's body was completely engulfed in shadows and she disappeared before me.
Right, my food.
I walked back to the stove and turned it back on to warm up my food again.
Did I leave the door open?

I opened my eyes and finally this time I was on a bed, though not 'my' bed.
I was in Akatone's infarmery room. Didn't I pass out in the hallway?
Slow realization came to me as I could feel my body, I didn't feel sick. The effect of Urana's presence didn't make me sick like before, that's great! I don't have to keep feeling like shit everytime I wake up.
"Wonderful, you're awake, I made dinner." I faced towards the door and there stood Akatone, who looked more tired of everything than usual. "Everything alright Akatone?" He looked at me face with a blank stare and dipping his head down as he sighed in disappointment. "No, with all respect Nora, please tell your bitch of a sister to piss off."
"Which sister?" Fates don't be cruel.
"Eirene Dissiri? Yeah her."
Fuck.
"Hey, I need to talk to you about something, I'll explain at the table."

'Oops'
Well fuck, I should have killed her.
'Don't cuss dammit.'
Surprisingly, Nora didn't ramble however even while eating she looked stressed, which is highly unusual. Normally Nora could give less of a shit when it came to the Gods, but here she was stressing over the orders of Urana.
"Well you agreed to be a champion, to Urana of all Gods-"
Nora was quick to interrupt me, "And you chose Akai, of all Gods, The God of all assassins, that seems like a rough god to work wi-"
'Prick. Am I hard to work with Akatone?'
'Sometimes'
"Don't interrupt me Nora, that's rude." I could hear Akai give a hum of disappointment and with a shiver his presence left my mental body.
"As I was saying, Urana isn't very demanding, but when she wants something done she wants it done, you agreed to kill Dissiri and now it's too late to go back on your agreement." That's the harsh reality of being a champion, if we deny the deity we have an oath with, they have every right to do whatever they want to our souls, and demi-gods have it a little easier because we don't have full souls.
Nora looked down at her empty plate. "You've never had to kill one of your siblings Akatone, Eirene was the only person who was there for me when I was being tortured by Nkri's star." I felt a little guilty when I could see a tear fall from Nora's left eye, a physiological sign of pain and sadness. "Right..Forgive me, that was harsh of me to say, nor is it my place."
Even my apology sounded cold, in opinion at least. I sat there across from my younger cousin unsure of what to do, comfort her? Yeah I should but I don't exactly know how
"Mi dispiace Nora, c'è qualcosa che vuoi che faccia?" I guess that's the only thing that sounded right to say. Nora shook her head no as she held her head in hands.
"Allora resto qui con te."
