With the first step taken care of, he could now properly step into the world of Gene evolution.
Joel walked out his lab only to be confronted with the anxious expression on his family's face, especially his Father's and Grandpa's faces.
They wanted to know how the Gene serum he took affected him and fortunately they were happy that his changes were not too drastic.
There were some people who took a Gene serum which their system couldn't handle and that sometimes leaves them with mutations form mild ones like bunny ears or they could become so deformed that it was hard to separate them from the very monsters they have been hunting for the production of the Gene serum.
Corren " My boy, how are you doing, you have any discomfort anywhere do you? "
Joel " No Grandpa I'm good, infact I feel great. So can you finally let into the Gene library, you know that I have to start practicing a Gene technique if I want to progress to the next stage of Gene evolution"
William " Yes, yes we know our little genius want to make something otherworldly again. We granted you full access to the Gene library even the Upper section, just be careful okay."
Aunt Rose " Your father is right while you have a brilliant mind, it's prudent to show caution."
Joel " Don't worry about a thing, I haven't done anything stupid yet and I never will, just trust me. Oh and where is mother I didn't see her with you guys?"
Aunt Ann " She with your little sister in the garden, unlike you she wasn't homeschooled so your mom takes every moment she has to be with her when she's around"
Joel " oh, I didn't know Lil sis was around then I have to go say hi at least before going to the library"
Joel's baby sis Nicole was 2 years younger than him they were very close. She had long black hair that reached her waist along with a beautiful oval face and green cat-like eyes.
She started going an all girls boarding school when she was 10 year old, so his mom Grace was very protective of her.
Joel then left alone in the direction of the garden, with his newfound strength he was able to quickly make a 90 - 95 meters in under 10 seconds he appeared to have become a blur to the regular eye.

Grace " So, how school?"
Nicole "Same old, same old, the bullies still bully and the succubi are still draining people of their happiness and classes are boring as always. I can understand why brother didn't even bother to attend"
Grace " Well that is because he's very smart, but if that how you feel you could always come home and continue you schooling here"
Joel " Yeah and I could tutor you, it will be like old times, you know me, never a dull moment"
Nicole runs to hug him as she says " BROTHER, I didn't know you were done with your Gene evolution. Mom why didn't you say anything"
Grace " Because I wanted to keep you all to myself but your brother just had to go and ruin it. Well since he's here I'll leave you guys alone to catch up"
While Grace was walking out the door she Stop and checkups on Joel and asks " Son are you okay, I hope the Gene serum worked intended?"
Joel " Mom don't worry, it was even better than expected."
Grace " Great, that is good. Alrighty then I will leave you guys to it."
Joel and Nicole" bye Mom"
Grace then walk out of the garden to tend to her own stuff.
"So, sis what do you think about what I said?" he said as he placed his hand on her head.
Nicole "I think I will stay in school for a little while longer, you seem to be very busy lately and I don't want to be the one take you away from you work. Besides this way you will work extra hard on my Gene serum"
Joel "Alright, if that is what you want then your wish is my command, hahaha." he laughs as he messes up her hair.
Nicole "bro stop, you're going to ruin my hair I just had it done"
Joel " Alright, I'll stop messing around, I have stuff to do any."
Nicole " where are going, you just came out of your lab a few minutes ago"
Joel "oh, now that I'm in the Gene Page stage I need Gene techniques and art reach the next stage, so if you need I'll be in the Gene library"
Nicole "okay, then good luck on you endeavor, I'll go and see Dad and Grandpa."
Joel "see you later then, bye"
They waved each other goodbye as they to their respective destinations. Along the way the servants of the family stop whatever they were doing whenever they were his presence.
__IN FRONT OF THE GENE LIBRARY__
The Gene library was one of the biggest and most secure places in the main Addo Family estate along with the research block, the main residence, the Mech palace, the Gene refining building and the Gene treasury, covering an area of 150² meters and reaching a height of 20 meters on each floor for a total of 5 floors.
The first floor contained Gene techniques and arts from the Gene Page to the Gene Knight stage, the second floor held techniques and arts from the Gene General to the Gene Commander stage, the third floor was the place for Gene Kings, the fourth for Gene Emporer stage techniques and arts and the last floor belonged to Gene Sage technique and arts.
These Gene techniques and arts did not have anything to do with the Gene stage of the individual but rather they dictated the upper limit someone can reach reach using them, if they wanted to move to a higher stage they would have to change to a higher Gene art or further develop the one they were already using.
In front of the library the person in charge was a middle aged man with an amputated left arm, he name was Ronald, here lost his arm fighting against a peak tier 5 monster during a beast tide and his Gene stage regressed to the Gene Knight stage ever since. He was still well respected in the family and his Son, Bernard was a 23 year old genius in the Gene General stage.
Ronald stood up hurriedly after seeing Joel coming in his direction "Young master, good day, seeing as your here it's there anything that I can help you with"
Joel " Good day to you too, but no, I have just come to select some Gene arts"
Ronald "Then I shan't keep you" he said as he moved out of the way to the Gene library and invited him in "Young master, please"
