She was dying, Ray'ven was convinced. It was the only possible explanation for the painful retching she'd been doing for the past hour. Her stomach clenched tightly as she dry heaved, the smell of the eggs that Meya had brought her still stuck in her nose. The maid was currently floundering in the doorway apologizing repeatedly and Iris held her hair from her sweaty forehead.
"It's fine Meya, you could not have known." She shushed the other woman, resting her head against the cool porcelain of the toilet bowl.
"It is time for a visit with Healer Shane, milady. This has been going on for weeks now and your bloating hasn't gone down either." Iris said sternly, helping the princess up from the floor and leading her over to the sink so she could rinse her mouth.
