The best part of living in the castle was the constant circulation of information; whether it be maids tittering during their work or overheard conversation from careless nobles. Most of which Strelitzia dismissed, useless gossip about who was with who, and what events they wondered the new king would plan. Except when she'd overheard about the princess of Eli'ak. Two guards with heads bowed in what she figured was solidarity at the tragedy.
"I can't believe she died so quickly." One said.
The other nodded his head in agreement, there was a genuine sadness in his eyes. "Nothing like that brother of her's. She was actually lovely for a royal. The king shouldn't have put them out like that."
"A freak accident. Who knew he held such power? Let's hope those accidents aren't common for our sake."
