Chapter 2 - The Reepa

"Reepa dona is a village home to the ropa clan of Narr kingdom, and for decades it has cut off the outside interventions without reason. We should already be walking on the village grounds by now but I don't see any signs of civilizations." Leena looked confused and couldn't find a sign of people living nearby.

"true, but if they don't want anyone to see them, do you really think we can find them that easy?" Sol had the same thought.

Leena's face finally left the confusing look as she knew her mother could never be wrong, "There is no time till you recover, do it now."

"Do what?" Sol was still clueless, regardless it was the truth. He was laying energy traps all the way from Narr kingdom to the first guardian mountain.

Lenna pulled Sol by the collar, "Cast the damn spell, the one which awakens the all flame spell."

"Do not rush things, if you want I can cast a more effective spell, a detection flame taming. How does that sound?" He sprouted these words in anger, all while trying to get out of the grip of Leena's hand.

"Huh, you are so unreliable. Mother should have started with history and field training with you." Leena pushed Sol back to the rock wall behind him, Sol was brimming with anger until he realized the reason.

"I will do it. Master flame taming of the fifth grade requires all the power I have left. I will need someone to protect me. I have already released all my protection and sensory spells." Sol explained the cost of the spell as he got himself out from Leena and sat down near the cliff rock to begin the spell of Everall flame control.

Leena turned to him, "You better do it right if you are going to be a dead weight."

Out of all the flame-taming magic, Everall flames are rare, and also the rank of the Master in flame-taming is the highest of all, the life force of the green star is warmed by the Everall flames, and in the center of the green star lies the most powerful spark of all, the Everall flame, the same kind of fire as the yellow star's core.

Sol stood on his knees, slightly leaning from hips, palms facing each other while elbows bent, the hands almost linked. All of a sudden the air shifted, and it became more alive than ever. Sol turned Pink, and sparks of the same color began to appear on his body, concentrated on his skullcap, stomach, and back. Sol's clothes caught fire in an instant, and three gateways of the energy were visual on Sol.

"I wish, we were never the same in any way." Leena looked at Sol as the words left her mouth without permission.

Leena and Sol had only one similarity, their cores! Life force in any living being can be turned into energy and finally into flames but to inherit one or more sources of energy one needs to prioritize the one, which is not uncommon in the yellow star chain and other star planets as well. But if one has the will to break the barrier and combine the two sources of energy and realize the ultimate form they can reach, that is Master flame-taming magic as Leena has two cores of energy, one is from his father, Salon Light and one is from her mother Aya the wind, she decided to never choose between the two powers. As a result, she achieved the ultimate form she can reach. Similarly, Sol had also chosen the same path and both had achieved the same kind of flames and all while unique to the whole green star.

"Well, if you are done being sentimental, can lend me some of your crimson flames and be on guard for any hidden spells?" Sol spoke in haste, bathing in pink flames which glowed red, his face all tensed as he was gathering all the sparks, all the visible energy in the form of the sparks came between his hands and became a small flame of the red shade, one can see the energy flowing through Sol's body from his hands to back and then it was coming out from there making and a bright glow of energy.

Leena finally came back to reality, "I hate to see you use that spell as I always have to cover for you. Why is it that you have an empty core? And look at your control!" Leena stood behind Sol's back to stabilize the leaking energy.

Flashes of the red glow radiated from Sol's energy of the sphere, the spell was active.

"The spell is working! get dressed, I am tired of your naked look." Leena went ahead a little to find any hidden entrance or to find any sign of life.

Sol stood up while controlling the sphere of energy, "I will release the sphere into the sky, it will stay active for about three minutes we have to find something within that time." Sol raised the energy ball with his right hand and it went up into the middle of the sky. Even the rocky area of the mountain they were standing on was turning into a forest, it's life force was immense.

"I am going down west to the hill, you take the east side," Leena ordered as Sol had made some clothes of newly sprouted leaves and branches.

Leena rushed down to the hill more and more to find any traces of hidden spells. A sudden current went through the land. Leena had no time to stabilize her footing. One, two, three... a wave of earthquakes started occurring and Leena was trying to find the origin of these shockwaves. She was sure that this was not any natural phenomenon. She finally started to some movements ahead but her view was still hazy as the dust was everywhere because of the waves.

Leena made fists of her hands, and sat on the ground by one knee, thrusting the fists at each other, it created a faint spark as she spoke, "Son is the guardian of the yellow star and I am of these villages, oh, all mighty Son, lend me the power of the spark, The Reverse Shock" both fists struck the ground as the incantation was finished.

The land cracked in all directions from the impact of Leena's spell. and somewhere ahead in the dust, the rocks blasted out of the ground to the air. Leena has found her first real lead, she was quick to follow the blast.

Leena reached the blasted place, the shockwaves were gone because of Leena and the air was getting clear. Leena inspected the site, it was all rocks and dust.

"Damn, you just made a good mess. This was beyond risky." Sol has just arrived from the east, he must have come back to check on Leena after the big commotion.

"Good, you are on time. Search the area carefully, my guess is they are underground." Leena was focused on the big pile of rocks in front of her, the ground below looked awfully fine despite the big shockwaves.

"Let me have a look!' Sol gradually got to the spot, "This looks..." a familiar feeling distracted him, " be on your guard. Someone is coming, f..." Sol turned to warn Leena but the danger already struck.

A human-like shadow was there facing Leena, Sol wasn't able to see Leena's face but he knew what it was and why there was no movement. A decayed human being. Once any living being gets sucked into the dry-blizzard they become a zombie without thoughts and life source, the only thing they want and obey is power.

In an instant, Sol went behind Leena wrapped his right hand around her waist, trying to get her back from the decayed's pull, and the other hand by her shoulder the palm facing the decayed, "The reepa, I want more..." it spoke while feeding on Leena's cores.

"No, one shall touch the one I love and consider my family, you will know the heat of my flames." Sol had seen many he loved died and leave him. He was fuming with pure anger now. An energy ball was formed before his left hand, a deep red energy ball, and it blasted before it can form completely, separating Leena and Sol from the decayed.

Leena was finally free from the pull, they were thrown back because of the blast. Sol was lying on the ground, unconscious, on him was Leena, Sol's grip on her waist was still strong. Leena woke up, she realized the situation, she was depleted, and she couldn't even stand up. On the other side that decayed monster was advancing toward them, it seemed scared a bit, though.

"damn it, Sol. Lose your hands or we both will die. I am almost out of my strength still, I can get us out if I can stand up" Leena was sitting up by hand one side as Sol was still unconsciously holding her.

Every effort seemed futile to Leena as the decayed was a few steps away. But before it can harm them, a stream of water came and surrounded the decayed like shackles. Three men come there, they stood around the decayed and joined hands making a circle, the shackles turned red, and the decayed turned to steam and before Leena could do anything, she passed out.
