Chapter 30 - Haguro.... P.7

~ Akira's Pov ~

'I need to hurry back... with all that commotion we just caused. Ryuuko must be going mad...' I thought, chuckling.

It was cute to see a face she shouldn't be making, be made from me. I didn't think she was capable of it at all.

Me and Rivera's clothes were in tatters after that fight. I barely have my shirt hanging and half my pants are ripped. Still, she seems to be doing far better than me in that department.

'Fuck me...'

~ Omni Pov ~

After Akira carefully made his way to the motel, he left Ryuuko in. He made his way to the window of his room.

'Damn for a woman, she sure is hefty, and it makes sense. Her milker was massive...' Akira thought, dropping Rivera onto the bed.

He jotted into his inventory for a spare jacket and pants he had. Putting them on to search for Ryuuko.

Leaving the room, he quickly realized that the search might not be needed...

"Akira!!! Akira!!! Where are you!?" Ryuuko cried out.

"...I'm here." He curtly responded. He had noted that her voice was strained too...

She quickly turned in his direction. There were no tears, but one could hear her concern.

"Where the hell were you!? I've been looking for the last 7 minutes!" She shouted.

"Okay, easy there, dragon. I went out to solve the 'issue'. Why couldn't you wait a couple of minutes for me to return?" Akira asked.

She stood quietly for a moment, swallowing his response, then giving him the most disgusted look she could muster.

'That is one indifferent face...' Inugami mentally noted.

"Fuck ya', wolfy. I can' believe I was actually worried about ya'." She responded.

"You were? Thanks Ryuuko, but I was fine. Really." Akira said teasingly. Unknown That his smile was growing bigger by the second.

Seeing this, Ryuuko walked up towards him, grabbing his hand, and headed in the direction of their rented room.

"Wait for a second... before you go in there, just know that it's because I solved the issue." Akira stated.

Ryuuko broke free of her little trance after hearing this.

'What the hell does he mean?...' Ryuuko thought, getting a bad vibe.

She didn't respond. Then barged in to see why he was nervous... she walked through small hallway to see 'it'... rather... a, 'her'.

"... Who the hell is this?" Ryuuko asked, her indifferent tone returning.

"The issue... she was the one following us(me) for a while..." Akira stated.

Ryuuko walked to the kitchen area. Leaving Akira alone for a couple of seconds, though, he felt slight killing intent emanate from Ryuuko...

When she returned, she didn't come alone. She brought a tool with her...

"Uhhh... Why do you have a knife, Ryuuko..." Akira asked, hoping this isn't going where he thinks it's going...

"What else? To finish tha' job." She stated coldly.

"...Okay there little dragon, you can't be serious..." Akira asked.

Ryuuko said nothing, making her way towards the sleeping Rivera...

Akira, seeing this, immediately went in front of Ryuuko, stopping her from going any farther.

"Get outta' my way wolfy..." Ryuuko said, staring down towards the floor.

"So you can kill her? No fucking way, Ryuuko! Put it down." Akira said.

Ryuuko's eyes held no feelings towards this person, and the follower being a woman made it worse...

"When you have spies, wolfy. You kill em' so that they won' be a thorn in yer' side. You'll thank me later when it's done." Ryuuko said calmly, staring at Rivera's body.

It didn't take a genius to put this all together... being around Haguro made her far more unhinged than before. And slowly, she relished the fact that she could take a life she doesn't want flourishing... Akira knew this, but she was only 15... basically a child...

He twitched at how she would kill with little to no regard for another's life...

"No Ryuuko. I know her too. She isn't bad either..." Akira said, grabbing Ryuuko's hand.

"TCH!" Ryuuko said, walking away. Tossing the knife away.

"... I'm goin' home. Stay with that slut if ya' wan'." Ryuuko said. Leaving the room.

Akira didn't try to stop her... He knew that Ryuuko needed time to cool herself out for a bit...

He sighed at the whole situation... then looked towards Rivera...

Speaking of Rivera... she was beginning to wake up.

'... This might be a longer day than I planned for.' Akira thought.

Rivera squinted her eyes, then jumping up. Scanning the room, seeing Akira next to her...

She then felt the back of her neck. Realizing that he didn't kill her.

"... I... see..." Rivera stated, getting the gist of everything so far, then continuing...

"Why?... Why did... you spare me..." Rivera asked, her face turned the other way.

Akira looked at her softly before responding...

"... Mostly a hunch... and the other... it was from your story. You showed a bit of conscience. Even though you had borderline obsessive tendencies... you were fighting and trying your best to get over them, but when you didn't get appropriate help. You resorted to this... Still, I could tell you aren't a bad person, Rivera... so let's just leave it there..." Akira said.

"... So... you believed me?... Thank you..." Rivera stated. Sniffling.

"No problem. I just hope you aren't in love with me still." Akira stated. He didn't know why he believed her either... he just 'felt' as if she was telling the truth...

Rivera said nothing at his response for a while.

However, she started crying even more... her hands trembling in frustration while squeezing the sheets of the bed...

"I-I'm sorry... that I am such a weak woman... not only had you spared me, you have forgiven me as well. However, it was the truth that I was, and am still in love with you. That will ever change..." Rivera said. Still in tears.

Akira kept listening, allowing her to vent her own frustrations.

"Thank you for sparing my life... I... Don't know what to say..." Rivera said, looking down, ashamed.

Akira thought for a moment. Then he had a brilliant idea.

"Come work for me then." He stated.
