Chereads / RE: WOLF-GUY / Chapter 9 - Truth and Finding refuge

Chapter 9 - Truth and Finding refuge

Akira sat quietly. He wondered if he should tell his mother the truth or hold back a little... but when he really got deep into it... he realized that it would be better to tell the truth...

"Mom... You know when you leave me to be alone with the wolves... I don't just play with them... I also take my time to... exercise..." Akira stated, getting quieter as he finished...

"Exercise?... for how long?..." His mother asked...

"... For the last couple of years..." Akira finished...

"... I-I see... just how powerful are you, Akira?..." His mother asked, trying to keep herself controlled... She was finding it increasingly boggling that her child could do what he did... She knew he was a genius/prodigy. But this was something else, even 'if' he's a wolf...

"... It would be best to show you if you pull over so I can show you..." Akira said.

"...Okay..."

His mother quickly stopped next to a Forrest filled area...

Both exited the vehicle...

"What did you plan to show me?" She asked...

Akira said nothing... He began walking towards the car, attempting to pick it up...

"A-Akira! What are yo-, doi-ng...?" she asked surprised but her tone mellowed after...

She couldn't believe what she was seeing. Akira picked up the car with ease...

A car that should be impossible to lift until he was at least an adult, and under the full moon, a car that easily weighed over 2 tons!? And he just picked up with ease...

Akira saw the look of astonishment on his mother's face...

"That can't be? Am I d-dreaming? Kids in our clan weren't nearly this powerful even with training..." His mother stated...

"I have more to show... so just bear with me, mom... I got it last night during the attack." Akira stated.

He closed his eyes, and willed a golden glow from his very being... Akira's eyes glowed a piercing golden-amber, then his pupils slowly morphed into slits.. He began growing half a meter more, with his body structure changing drastically... All while his fur grew, revealing its smooth silky, yet jet black shade...

His transformation was complete. His mother looked on with astonishment...

"A-Akira... y-you can transform willingly, and without the full moon, too!?" His mother shouted, clearly surprised...

"Yeah... it's cool, right!? but I didn't need to use this form to defeat the 'bad' guys..." His mother looked pale, unsure whether she should be happy or not, seeing the spectacle before her...

Her son was a 'special' case. If she was in her clan like before, she knew Akira would be considered a never seen before prodigy, given what he can do...

"I'm not finished, mom..." Akira stated, his voice deep and feral...

With his ability to will transformations at anytime, it was like he could just deselect and select each form he had under his belt...

However, he didn't transform into this form before, so this would be a fresh experience for both him and his mother...

Akira closed his eyes once more. His mother watched the golden brilliance come once more. He was getting smaller, reaching the exact same height as before transforming. Akira's fur disappeared, but not completely...

His hair lengthened and smoothened a bit. His hair now grew a larger bang from the middle of his forehead, with his side bang's length now reaching the middle of his chest, as well as a small patch of fur growing at the edge of his shoulder blade...

He kept his claws too, but they were a little shorter than before yet keeping the same sharpness, with the fur remaining jet-black and his eyes remaining the same...

The new transformation was now complete...

"A-Akira... i-is that you?" His mother asked. Looking at her son's smaller form, seeing the changes. It was the first time she ever saw something like this. From what she knew, no werewolf could do this transformation... Was it stronger? She didn't know, but that would change quickly...

Akira simply looked at himself, seeing small patches of fur on specific parts of his body... instinctually, he could tell this form was incomplete. But, he still felt at least twice as strong as before...

When he carefully looked at his body, he knew where this transformation came from...

"Noblesse..." Akira mumbled under his breath...

Akira looked forward, then went into a stance and punched forward, breaking the sound barrier, and blowing the surrounding snow around him and his mother away...

His mother looked surprised at the display of speed and strength...

Akira then looked at her...

"It's me, mom... I'm strong, but not as strong as my last form."

"... I see... so this transformation is weaker over all..." His mother stated. She gave up on being surprised. She was going with the flow and had it in her mind that her son was a freak of nature...

Akira stretched a bit, testing his speed... "Not exactly, mom... sure, this form might be weaker... but it's twice as fast as 'strongest' form... It looks like I sacrifice a bit of mobility for the reward of speed..."

Akira got into a running position. When he dashed forward, he broke the sound barrier once more... not once, but twice!

He created literally after images within the area he was in. His mother couldn't fully comprehend the speed Akira was traveling at, but based on the sound, he was going as fast as a bullet, if not faster. All she could see was a blur flashing past her, and that was rarely, most of the time, she couldn't see him at all...

However, as bad of a situation they were in, she felt incredibly proud of her son. She was glad he was strong enough to protect himself, and her...

Akira stopped moving and appeared back in the same position he was in...

"Okay, Akira... We need to go, we can explore these abilites when we get to a safe place... for now, we need to continue moving..." His mother stated...

Akira just nodded his head, then returning to his normal form...

After travelling for a while, his mother contacted Akira's aunt. She was the only one with the resources to help them both...
